Hi all
My post amaretto report, I did start feeling strange after drinking a small glass, my mind seemed to go very dull, chilled out. Not anything I've ever felt before when I used to drink it last year. Later I was getting odd pains in my head in either side which disappeared after a while. Slight headache now but not eaten so far might be that.
So either it's amaretto itself, alcohol in general or the sugar. I'll experiment with the other two possibilities another time.
Think it's time for my to do list -
finance updates in diary, start filing and updates in other book
Send card and letter to Ly, Marg, Carol
Thursday 12 - DS2 home visit for weekend - get ready -
Clear dining table
put away clean laundry
get food
Get room ready, buy choccie eggs, collage envelope
Sunday - lunch at mum's
buy new shoes
write article for care awards

Hello folks. I've just been trawling through the pages as I have been away for 3 weeks + with no internet! Interesting reading. Love the wedding outfit and the drawings.
I wonder if there is anything suitable for your wedding outfit necklace here:
http://pinterest.com/beth_stedman/make-fabric-necklaces/
The braided silk looks good
I've made some similar to this:
http://thecottagehome.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/diy-beaded-fabric-necklace-easy-snappy.html
but using "paper balls" inside and toning or contrasting pony beads outside on Liberty fabric. These are then hand washable. (Paper balls 15mm. Art and craft company 01484 546621- haven't bought from them myself- recommended by the tutor)
I have a comment about magazines- I get a few bought as subscriptions either as a gift or by myself. For several years I have circulated them round my neighbours- very MSE! When they come 'home' I generally give them to friends out of the area and ask them to pass on to friends/charity shop. This pays dividends as the mags earn their keep and if I want a very small favour I feel I can ask neighbours! (Like filling their bins when I am going away!)
I just want to alert everyone to try to avoid posting things as rates (esp for parcels) are going up/ changing next month. Here is the pdf (can't read the print size & no printer but a friend warned me today!) I think parcels are going to be based on a combination of size & weight!!

Wot an afternoon, haven't gone ghost hunting, - the weather been pretty bad here, about a mile from town centre 2 gritters overturned, - and the routes out of town been pretty bad, a friend was on way to LLanduddalo (nr Rhyl), - 1 1/2hr at most, - took her 2 hrs and she wasn't even half way there - they abandoned the journey.
Spoke to the organiser of the event - he had been in touch with the hotel who said the local roads around the town ok bar some snow - I directed him to the bbc website and the route I would need - at 2pm, - there was road closure, the main stretch of the journey was on moderate warning with message essential journeys only - a motorway 6 miles from us been closed this morning snow, I said that not safe on road at 2pm - what would it be like coming home at 4am.... not normal pratice as if you cancel you lose the money - he was going to make another decision at 4pm, - 10 mins later he rings back, - seen the BBC - typed in the town as you told me - no way can you drive it - do u want us to hold it as an iou. Said yes - my friend was due to drive 2hrs down to me, - so were going in July (no snow plz!!) xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
glad you got your ghost hunting night delayed so you can stay safe and enjoy it at a later date.SPC~12 ot 124

Hi all
I was socialising and decided not to chance any alcohol. Drank 2 cokes and felt tipsy! Then I had a tea and a pint of orange squash and felt ok.
Susan, I didn't think I had any problems with nuts but obviously something has changed for me this year so might buy some almonds and see what happens.
Katiehound, thanks for the lovely links
Mum2one - sounds like a nightmare where you live
I might buy some scratch cards, inspired by Susan for the challenge.0 -
Sorry the ghost hunting has had to be defered- but bet it will be good........when it happens.
Have been on the A55 when it was passable with snow some years ago and had a diversion around Rhyl.....was not nice- not only the snow& snowing but a diversion through who knows where in the middle of the night! Just one foreign lorry & me for miles!!
Ermm... yes the parcels will be very expensive to post and it will take effect soon too, even worse now I can actually see the amount of spondoolies needed. "Post early for Christmas" to coin a phrase!!!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

The trouble with allergies is they can come on any time, - I was 39 when I had my 1st anipheletic shock, - still dont fully know what I'm allergic to, a lot of it is trial and error, I predose on anti allergy tablets daily to help lower the risk and piritron for as and when.
