Haven't heard anything from Mary - would like to say no news is good news.

My mother - I am not joking she has lost her marbles since Sun ngt, - yesterday we were going to Argos - then she realised she hadn't put a chq in back from their anniversay - so said - right pop it on the Argos card - then when the chq clears pay it off - ok - have u got the card in your purse YES.

Drives to the store - puts the order throu - then she realises shes left the card on the fireplace!! rings dad at home - no he can't find the card. Drive home - major panic as i'm ringing Argos - to cancel the card (incase been nicked etc) she finds it in her other purse - she'd swopped her purses around for Sunday.

Drive back out - I know I wanted to drive the car - but 115 miles - 2 round trips, its lush....

she felt so quilty - she took me to the pub for lunch - (she got her revenge!! ) I ended up sicky and upset tum bug - poor Miss Hoodie I kept waking her so she ended up sleeping in mums bed!!

All my mother can talk about is how nice the solider is plus the one of the supporting act (he's now fb friend) - I pointed out he was 19 yrs younger than me (rather than admit I'll offically be 21 again in March). I'm sure shes trying to find me a husband........ yes I nice rich one........ xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Mrs MoneyPnny - We've got another week at school b4 halfterm, our council has really mucked the school calender around this yr, - they moved the Oct half term by a week, then followed on with everything else.

A friend of mine checked on the council website last xmas to book a hol for the Oct half term - so she wasn't taking her son out 2nd yr at secondary - then in Sept the new school term comes out - week later - she explains everything brings all printouts - school said its not there fault - she should have waited till Sept to book - they found her £300 - so shes taking it down £1 a week in pennies! xx

  • Another big event for this year out of the way now - we went to our friends' wedding yesterday. The couple asked for a donation towards their honeymoon which kind of took the fun out of buying a gift, but we did personlise our card a bit by putting a lottery ticket in it. Used the date of the wedding and birthdays to make up the numbers, so we'll see how it turns out. :)

Next big event is a birthday in March, so will have to get my thinking cap on for that. Apart from Pancake Day and Valentine's in the week, of course. We don't do cards for V Day, or presents, but we do have steak sandwiches for a meal. :)

    Have a lovely weekend!

  • My Grandad's birthday is on Valentines day and I have his present ready thanks to the Boots sale :) Before I got a full time job I got slightly addicted with making birthday/christmas cards so I should have a card that just needs "Grandad" sticking on it.

Last year I managed to buy 80 plain coloured giftbags for £8 (Still quite proud of myself for that lol) So I'm going to decorate a blue giftbag to make it look a bit more interesting :)
