Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Mrs Moneypenny, what is your 50 before 50th challenge? I'm intrigued!

On the MSE front I have bought all my Christmas gift tags, down from £1 to 25p a pack from the Co-Op. They'll go very well with the 30p rolls of wrapping paper I bought from Clintons, as they're a very similar design.

I bought a copy of Elle Magazine for £4 with a £20 Kurt Geiger gift card in (after seeing Martin mention it on tv this morning). I'm going to wait till I can get to a store as it's valid for 12 months and that'll save on the £4.95 postage. Plus due to the offer, a lot of the under £20 is sold out at the moment. Hopefully I can pick a present up with it!

Just out of interest how do people keep vouchers etc?

Am sure I have a WH Smith money off voucher somewhere but get so sick and tired of them that I either stash the No 7 Boots ones in purse (don't use them much) or stash everything in purse (which is a large purse!!) and then forget about vouchers.

In fact the only cards I *do* use and get stamped are the ones that get you free tea and coffee when you buy. I have about 3 of those - a Costa rewards one, a local cafe one, a Caffe Nero one and a Pumpkin one. then I have a stamp card from M&S for greetings cards, a local gift shop also does same deal - eg buy something gets stamped etc.

a good friend of mine in USA has a voucher/coupon holder but I think it's like 2nd one as it is clear and she keeps her vouchers/coupons in that and keeps on kitchen counter near dogs treats and keys:-

My US friend is also a Swagbucks person and gets money off at their supermarkets and Target etc but its 2nd nature to her and any *junk* stuff like food goes to her 2 DDs (within reason) but she's got money off toothpaste, shower gel, cleaning products etc - all stuff I find more expensive.

with me - I sometimes use coupons the Sainsburys Nectar ones or Sainsburys vouchers but they're targeted so maybe you buy/use more or more expensive ones.

also Tescos well rarely go there anymore but used to have Tesco reward card never know which is best eg Nectar/Boots Advantage etc. Am finally going to join Quidco especially also the App for one of them where it *pays* you when you walk past!

thanks for allowing me in. :)

i try and do good cause knitting and to give me a bit of a push i was 50 last year so i challenged myself to knit 50 items for good causes. i chose to make the 50 items all prem baby items in honour/memory of my brothers darling twin girls who were born too early, one is doing fantastically and is now 16month old but tragically the other was just too poorly and after an 10month fight it became too much for her.
im determined to get all 50 items finished before my next birthday.

Well my favourite time of year is here.. 6 nations rugby. Last year went down for a match - this year no chance :-( can't complain really just had fab holiday.

Little Charlie the baby still here . Week old yesterday . No change but I see that as a positive .

Same here with the rugby - got tickets for one match last year in Cardiff - there's not really been any tickets on sale this year!!

    Sending love to Little Charlie!

Suzy - I'm not great with vouchers. Proper vouchers (leisure vouchers, theatre vouchers) go in a pot in the lounge. Receipt type ones go in my purse but are likely to be forgotten.
Tesco clubcard is amazing though. I wish I had a Tesco in the right place to do my weekly shop - with the x3 or x4 exchange for vouchers we get loads of meals, days out and even channel tunnel crossings free!

Anyone making bottled fruits etc & boozy drinks might be interested.
In Wilkinson's today walked down an aisle which I rarely use. Noticed Kilner jars (they might be the real thing!) from £1-£2.75 each and 2 sizes of bottles with spring closed tops. Think the smaller size was £1.75. No idea if these are a good buy or not- I tend to save any fancy jars etc over the year rather than buy new!!

Can't believe how fast time flies, were on 1st of Feb, and Miss Hoodie is getting her challenge ready for Santas Challenge..........

If anyone fancies a money making challenge - set yourself a target how much you want to make in Feb, whether thats by putting loose change up, doing any surveys, selling anything - be that ebay or free adds, any broken jewellery, if you get a bogof item, put the pennies in a jar,car boot (for the brave), or indoor table top sales (for not so brave) the choice is yours.

I need to set myself target £100 - last payment of the car, so ebay, table top sales here I come..... xx

Just to say the bottles in Wilkinson's aren't very large- 200ml? 250ml? was dashing past (can't even remember the price accurately!!)

What happened with the Ofsted? Hope some one will get their just desserts!

Just popping in to say hi to oldies and newbies. :)

Susan - I presume Charlie is a new grandchild (not read back that far). I'm hoping all is well for him. Thinking of you all and sending hugs.

Clare (CDSmiler) - Hiya hun. How's little 'un? How old is she now? Coming up to three?

Hello to everyone else. I've only read the first and last page so sorry if I've missed anyone. I'll be popping in now and again if you don't mind having me here. I'm keeping up well with the money making side of things, but everything else has gone to pot. ;)

Have a lovely weekend and wrap up warm, it's freezing out there.
