Angela - Mrs Moneypenny she's hit it on the nail, baby steps, i know sometimes I feel like I get a whirlwind moment that everything has to be done there and then, but all I usually end up doing is a bit of everything and generally making a mess, so now i have lists - usually everywhere - but bite size chunks.
Mrs Moneypenny - glad you got the cross stitch framed so whats the next challenge?
Were having another bash at painting tonight with Miss Hoodie - were doing some wooden stocking, and "faith" word...... try not to paint the walls!
hope everyone ok, and take care, esp with the weather - we had snow last night, but cleared by midmorning, but more forecast 2ngt, plz wrap up warm.
I have a new friend on facebook - the hunky solider ! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
my brothers expecting a baby so im knitting a blanket for that
ive got a cross stitch dragon on the go for my sister and her Dh (whos welsh) its a planned christmas priessie and a name stitchy for my little niece ive done a butterfly i just need to do a border and her name on that and frame it.
most of the 13 crafty items in 2013 challenge are earmarked as pressies so if i manage to make them all ill be clearing some stash and saving some money as well as hopefully giving people some nice pressies.
ideally id like moe hours in the day as ive got so many things i want to make and so much stash to clear
sounds like you'll be spending a bit more time on facebook nowSPC~12 ot 124

Never too late, unless its Xmas Eve when were sat with a glass of wine when others are panic buying!! (only joking).
A big hi, and welcome to the thread, hope you got some gd bargains in Boots sale, I'm lethal when its on! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I've been super organised today - made a big batch of strawberry conserve with cava, must be good as got dad offering to lift the pan and stir it for me... (so he taste it!!) and mum hanging around - offering to check the setting point!!
We've got 5 1lb jars and a small size jar - for quality control...
Done some painting tonight - thou Miss Hoodie got bored half way though as I wouldn't let her go freestyle! we decorated some snowflake shapes and xmas stockings.
Have to confess had a little peep on facebook...... mums already decided she wants to go back to see them next yr, but can we book earlier to be nearer the front..... no problem mother!!
We have grandad Hoodie happy - he's having a new shed - you can tell this is typical man, - its 6ft by 4ft, but the opening on the 6ft side, whereas he wanted the front opening to replace the shed hes got... when I said its got £80 knocked off it..... not a problem he can swop things around and he'll even put some more slabs in the garden even thou it means losing some grass area!!
Yet when mum was looking at getting garden swinging seat (they had £100 given in cash for their anniversary), - no she couldn't have it, - as he would need to slab part of the garden!! but his shed is a bargain and he gets change from £100 (£5)...
Bless him! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Mum2one - sounds like a good deal on the shed, typical man, OH loves his and the garage , always organising it.
Hi thrifty hayley - welcome to the thread, never to late to join, but must warn you , we might be a slow moving thread but we`re the best organised
ELYSIA, who are you? lol welcome back, nice to see you dropping in, i did pm you a while ago but you must have a full in box
Rufus - glad you could get some sewing done, its a nuisance when "outside" influences distract you.
angela - take your time sorting through it all, it took me quiet a while but now I seem to be in a good place, give us a shout if you need to vent or just what a chat,
moneypenny - thank you for your kind wishes...little charlie hanging in. They are a bit concerned about an hole in his heart at the moment, lots of people are born with them (I had 2...didnt find out until last year, when they fixed it) but his seems to be a concern..
curiosity but do you frame your xstitch yourself or do you get it professionally done?
cherching - thanks for the link, i ordered some too
cdsmiler - got your pm and a new blade lolChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
Thanks for the welcomes everyone
I have all of this years birthdays sorted thanks to the boots sale but only have a couple of little things for christmas.
I got some good bargains but I think those sales bring out the worst in me... I'm normally shy and retiring but I actually elbowed someone out of the way to try to get the last Soap and Glory set... and a woman snatched it off the shelf and legged it just as I got there #84 Make £2020 in 2020 challenge

everything crossed and lots of good wishes for charlie
i framed the picture myself this time, ive had them done properly in the past but it makes it quite expensive, i found just the right sized frame in wilkinson for £5 it was a long one that was supposed to hold 3 small pictures i carefully cut the mount with a stanley blade so it had one long hole in it rather than 3 small ones and used double sided tape and a mount board so it stayed nice and flat. i have laced one into a frame before ages ago but that really was a lot of faffing and i didnt think mum would ever be taking this out so it should be ok taped in.
ill do the dragon cross stitch frame myself as its quite smallSPC~12 ot 124

Afternoon, everyone - sorry I've not been around a lot lately - it's been somewhat busy of late. I'm tightening the purse strings again and January was a loooong month. I'm still making plans - in fact things have played into my hands as Mum has told me what she'd like for Christmas this year, and it's something I can make
I probably even have the materials for it already
My sister is coming up with some artwork, and I'll try and cross stitch it - we'll take it from there. Got to get the artwork first.
Hope everyone is keeping well, and take care.
