Susan - I presume Charlie is a new grandchild (not read back that far). I'm hoping all is well for him. Thinking of you all and sending hugs.
Clare (CDSmiler) - Hiya hun. How's little 'un? How old is she now? Coming up to three?
Hello to everyone else. I've only read the first and last page so sorry if I've missed anyone. I'll be popping in now and again if you don't mind having me here. I'm keeping up well with the money making side of things, but everything else has gone to pot.
Have a lovely weekend and wrap up warm, it's freezing out there.

i'm in love, ok lust...... took mum to see Soliders...... phew was not the word, I was close to dribbling (mothers days present for me and mum off Miss Hoodie - but Miss Hoodie too young to have a debit card - so it had to go on grandads hoodies card - but too late to pay him back as he's paid, and he should be grateful as we get half price tickets!!)
The Soliders are amazing, - I've listened to some of their songs - brought mum the CDs - live they are 100 times better.
Picked up batch 1 of my argos orders - proper price £198 paid £48, - really plzed got some fab bargains.
Mums had new tablecloth ready for xmas, made a dent in mothers day (now have Dove sets) and some xmas prezzies.
My 2 best bargains - Wooden jewellery box £4.99 instead of £19.99 and mini ty beanie bears 50p instead of £5.99 - The beanie bears - going to cello wrap and give them to the girls at tap (there 14-17) and theres 5 of them theyve all taken miss Hoodie under their wing.
Mums now converted to Argos clearance - been back on line 2ngt and now have 2 more orders to collect - does include new pillows for all beds, (£20 reduced to £6)..... had to choose store 14 miles away... as I ordered after 10pm it gives me Tues/wed for pick up - going the day we have Boiler serviced so dad has to stay behind!! I get to drive my car!!!!
(Been a bit naughty and got a couple of presents so I can swop them and have an extra Santuary set or 2.... )
I get to drive my car...... my neighbour asked how the car was, she fell about laughing when I said i've driven it once..... dad always find an excuse to drive it
- saves moving the seat back (we drive different!!)
- saves having to stop to change driver (dropped us off at theatre)
- going to get Miss Hoodies new glasses - I'll drive incase we can't park and I have to drop you off
-save you having to wind down window to get ticket from multi story... (its got electric windows - managed in other car)
I've even been lectured about keeping the car tidy!! make sure theres an umberalla or 2 in there..... he is like a kid with a new toy. I think he should have brought the car.
miss Hoodie loves the locking on the main key - no-one else is allowed to lock the car its her job.
Apologies for babbling - but thought give you all a laugh with our family xxxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Mum2one, glad you had a good time at the concert. You should have worn a bib lol for all that drooling.
I was sewing yesterday most of the day, got YD's dress just about finished. Need to make a start on the hat now but got a few things going on the rest of the weeks so will see if I can find time.0 -
Morning all,
Thanks for the advice about getting organised and spending all my time out. I had written lists for years but would avoid them.
Something has happened this week that has finally hit home the perils of being so disorganised and spending so much time with the type of people I have allowed into my life. I'm highly stressed which I haven't been for ages. I have the urgent need to sort my finances before Thursday thought I could just about do it then I discover something unexpected has cropped up for today so I had a sleepless night. Consequently feel awful today.
Susan, I really hope that the little baby is doing well, must be very stressful for everyone, puts my worries into perspective.0 -
Angela the first step is realising there is a problem, after that its baby steps one at a time to sort things out. i hope that things improve for you
Susan continued positive thoughts for little charlie i hope he is doing well.
mum2one glad you enjoyed the concert.
finally framed mums piggy cross stitch so thats her mothers day pressie almost sorted.SPC~12 ot 124
