I don't know if this is the right place to post this because I'm new to this (even if I read the forums on a daily basis to avoid doing college assignments :P) but I waslooking for inspiration for my grandma a present; I usually do a hamper with fudge, chocolate and biscuits for my grandma and grandad however, he recently died this year so now I have no idea, I think if I made her a hamper, I doubt shed eat it and would probably bin it. I just have no idea what to get her:/

    Hi FurryCake
What about a nice photo of the two of them, as sure your grandma would like that, so that she knows grandad is remembered.

What about a CD or DVD there may be an old film that she likes, you could still go down the hamper route, as sure there would be bits that your grandma like. xx

    hi all

mum2one, I thought the dentist said to have them on an empty stomache but the instructions said during or after eating and I looked online to double check so was eating first.

Yes, I will call the dentist tomorrow.

Thanks for your reply, hope Bailey has been keeping away from your bank cards lol .

Hopefully by taking them with food it ease the symptoms, but def check with them as it could be you need the tablets tweaking to another brand.

Bank cards are now safely stored out of Baileys way.... He's little lord muck, asleep on the settee with butter wouldn't melt in my mouth look! (typical male!!)

Hope you feel better soon xx

I went to Sainsbubble today and got the bits for my ED's cooking hamper. I had enough nectar points to cover it. I put them all in the box when I got home and they fill it up, just room for one more thing so ordered another spice from the T shop next week. I am really getting there now, just need 4 teenage boy presents, only want chocolate things or similar, and I need a couple more bits for OH, a few tins for YD's hamper and I am finished. I ordered my Dad a cd this morning for his present.

All the bits we have already are now wrapped up so very organised. Now it will be a case of getting in the food shop as and when we go out to the shops.

    Hi all

Good luck for dentist tomorrow mum2one.

I forgot to call the dentist re pills as I felt so tired. But I did re-arrange the hospital from Tuesday to few weeks time, no way I could have managed it tomorrow. I still feel weird today.

Did consider writing some cards but not until a short while ago (11.45pm) and I thought that was silly especially as I feel unwell, I'd done some cleaning earlier and felt dizzy. I found some catalogues with some pics suitable for some of next years envelopes for DS so if I'm well enough I might attempt the craft club tomorrow but I doubt I'll go so may cut them out at home.

Only one present sorted lined up Dairy Diary for mum as she couldn't get herself a spiral week to view anywhere else. I also ordered myself the diary set from the milkman she didn't want that. This year for the first time ever I didn't get myself a Dairy one and regretted it as the cheap spiral I had didn't have enough spare pages for my Christmas notes etc Plus I missed all the interesting info and recipes..

Not sure which cupboard I will sort probably the airing as everything falls out.

Sorry Sugarspun but the thought of duck puts me off. Never eaten it. Think it was after the time I was at a boys house when I was about 13, and asked to use his loo. I got the shock of my life as I looked around the room and saw a live duck in the bath !!! It was going to be for their dinner

Hope you feel better, at least you finish the course soon, thou it takes a few days to get out of the system (sorry:o).

I use to love the diary diaries, do they still do the cookbook, I'm still using the one mum had in the early 70s.

You take care, cards can wait your health more important.

    Hi mum2one,

When I did the order (via the milkman's pamphlet not online) they had a one pot cookbook, looked good..

Looks like I won't be drinking when I go out Friday night for friend's leaving do but my system probably needed a rest. What it didn't need is feeling so weird.

Strange that I'm feeling resentful I'm not doing the cards yet when I was feeling ok I kept putting them off lol

Your challenge post jogged my memory that I've got medicines waiting at the chemist for weeks completely forgotten about.

    Choc roses sound great.
