I love the candles Susan. Will they be ok to light them as they are?
I have finished some of the bracelets made from jeans seams. Think they look quite effective.0 -
Lovely bracelets.
So many talented people on this thread!
Small and I have started making Christmas cards this morning. We're both plastered in glitter
Can't pin everyone down at the moment as my sister and brother in law can't confirm if they're coming until a fortnight before. He works in retail and won't know his leave until then.
We do have two "Friendmas" weekends booked in with various sets of friends though. One at ours and one at someone else's. The first is the first weekend in December so need to ensure those gifts are sorted ASAP.
Thanks to this thread I am feeling pretty organised :ASealed Pot Challenge - No. 117

Money penny- stay safe. Think we avoiding it. Think a bit of wishful thinking in there.
Rufus- love the bracelets , how unusual. Never seem those before
Hi echo - I'm ashamed to say I've not made any cards yet. I usual make around two - three hundred . Can't see that happening this year. One year I made 400 was asked to give half of them to the army in Germany scouts to see at their Xmas fair for funds. The postage was :-0.
Would have been cheaper to send the money.
The other half went to the little theatre for their funds ...
I must crack the whip
Hope mum2one ok in all these storms . Hope her holiday going ok xxChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the photos Susan, I've never heard of pots of snow before. I like the candle display on the tray. You made 400 cards one year and regularly make over 200 !!! OMG
Sugarspun it's interesting to read your challenge as you live overseas and some things are done differently.
Rufus, those bracelets are brilliant.
The halloween party at the pub was really good last Friday. At first it was just my group of mates and we were concerned so much effort had gone into decorating the pub and it was closing in a few weeks for good, and no one else turning up. Later on it was chocker block and also had a live singer.
DS looked fantastic, en route to my house his support worker took him shopping and he chose a vampire outfit and wig for himself. That wig was a nightmare and I couldn't understand how to use it, looked online no instructions, eventually used a hair net to stop the hair from flopping forwards.
My outfit was a success too. I was told I looked fantastic. I usually live in jeans and trainers although a few years ago always wore pencil skirts as I was slimmer. Re the fascinator. I was thinking about mum2one's advice using mascara edging the beige flower but in the end just added my black flower to the band in a different way than I tried before. It looked really good.
At one stage a young lad grabbed hold of me saying he wanted a photo done of the two of us, I put my head down as his friend took it lol. I NEVER have photos done so was horrified. Bet it ended up on facebook somewhere lol0 -
sounds like you had a brill time Angela, really pleased for you and glad the outfits turned out so well

mum2one or anyone else who might know - do vistaprint not do free items anymore? I have just been on their website and couldn't see any. I know most of the free items were via e mail but thought they used to have a few free items on the website (pens, banners...)
Thinking about it I haven't had an email from vistaprint for ages, I will sign up again.
