Try function key (Fn) and the key with a wireless antenna symbol on it - often F2

I need to find a box of chocs or something, shame we dont have a Morrisons local, only shops (food) we have in our town is co-op, nisa and iceland. I will have to have a look. Wrapped ED's birthday presents yesterday and there didn't look as much as I had thought there was.

OH back on nights again for two weeks so end of sewing upstairs for a bit. I managed to alter yet another coat yesterday, someone gave me a red winter short coat, but it looked a bit old fashioned, had massive round shoulders with the arms all in one with the coat, and big gold shiny buttons, so took it to bits, reduced the shoulders and cut the sleeves off and re put them in again as normal sleeves, then got rid of the horrid gold buttons and put some plain black ones on and it looks quite smart now. I am over run with coats now lol and not had to pay anything out.

I was going through my fabric yesterday having a sort out and found some jeans that hadnt been cut up yet so I cut off the thick side seams and brought them down and I am going to have a go at making those denim bracelets out of them. I have some clasps I can use already and loads of beads to decorate them. Will show you when they are done if they come out nice. I want four for the nieces and the rest can go in a basket on the stall.

Apologies we're a day early - but off up the coast 2mor...

    Santas Challenge October

    Halloween
We have Hallowwen next Thursday, so it may be time to either get the tealights out, turn the lights off (romance optional) and pretend theres no-one in... or..... have some sweets by the door incase you get a tap tap tap.

    Bonfire Night
I would say remember remember the 5th November, but the way things are now it usually weekend before throu to the weekend after, so if your going to an event, wrap up warm, enjoy yourself and stay safe.

    Back to business

We have this one and only Nov's left to get ready for this Xmas, so its time to crack the whip (in the nicest of ways) and see where were going. It may look like a long list - but there little (hopefully) as we've done so well through out the year

    Christmas Cards
No excuses, - but a small treat at the end is allowed (Baileys is on offer at Morrisons!!) now is the time to get those cards sorted, - divide them into sections, whether its post, families - how ever works best for you. Aim to have them all wrote by 3rd week of November, then any postings you have plenty of time.

    Food
I know paydays all work differently, some weekly, some 4 weekly, etc and shopping patterns do vary, hopefully we've got the list done of extra food that we need, and divide this between the shops, aim to have this done by mid December - frees up not just time, money, but anything we have forgotten we've got chance to do.

    =Pin them down
I know it has been previously suggested about "the chat" as to where you are/numbers etc for Christmas, nows the start making the plans into dates as and when you can, but allow time for yourselves.

    =Flu Jabs=
More a mother hen moment, but those that need the flu jab have you made arrangements for this years, - our surgery this year gave Miss Hoodie her flu jab as a spray up her nose, - its new this year for children under 12.

    =Telephone Numbers=
Just more of a check really, check you have the telephones numbers for dentist, doctors, Vet, Chemist, local police, hospital- ready for xmas (hope we dont need them but there handy incase we do.

    Cake and Mince Pies
Hope everyone is having fun with these - Mince Pies freeze brilliantly, (we usually cook ours 1st) great to have spare with guests coming.

    Anti-Virus
A sit down job... joking apart with all the Xmas planning and prep the anti-virus may be slipping down the line, so when you get chance grab your computers, update anti - virus, run a scan and if you haven't done it for a while back up the computer.

    Miss Hoodies Corner[/COLOR]
It wouldn't be a Santas Challenge without a Miss Hoodies cleaning challenge - this time its the airing cupboard / wardrobe where everything gets dumped and never sees the daylight!!
Give this a good sort out, sure there be half pair of PJs, curtains you haven't used in years, bedding etc - can you make use of them, have fun!

    Home based Kit
Nows the time to check our home emergencies
Plasters, Pain Killers, Cough Sweets, Tissues, Indegestion relief - everyone needs different things for the house but if we can stock up now - one less thing to worry about.

    Thermals
Will we be needing thermals....... think that could be the question of the year! xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
