Hi everyone, been busy this week. All the presents are now made I think. Not many more bits to get. Got my bargain T shop done on Tuesday, was my first time ordering from them so got £17 off voucher to use. Managed to find lots of bits for the food hamper in their half price etc. Order came to £30 all together with the discount and it has practically filled up YD's big box, just need to get some tinned veg and may be some sweets and it will be done. Got a couple of bits for ED's food hamper too. Need to concentrate on that next.

Been making a halloween costume all week for YD, not finished yet but got the majority of it done. She wants to go as the Corpse Bride so had to make a wedding dress as such lol. Nothing easy when it comes to her. We found a lovely cream satin double bedspread in the charity shop which was perfect fabric and bought a bit of voile from the curtain shop to go over it. Used an old skirt too for the bodice. The dress is put together, it needs the finishing touches done when she can get round again.

I have booked some craft fairs up for next month, hopefully they will be good for selling bits for Christmas presents.
  • Thank you lovely ladies for the warm welcome

I'll be sure to add any good buys etc. So far the only one I have is Terry's Choc Orange for £1 in asda and that's only because I am currently stuffing my face with it. :rotfl: I have no shame or guilt for that matter :rotfl:

Rufus- love the sound of the Halloween outfit. And well done on the shopping, I love a bargain

Bambisbelle - thanks for the heads up about the choc orange. I did think about getting some but forgot. So £1 ones it is for me

Mum2one - you should be on commission for Argos the linkies you put out for them. I don't usually goto Argos but as you can spend nectar points there (they stopped amazon :-( which is a shame) I have popped in a couple of times. Tut tut DVD player , Christmas is coming

Money penny well done on the wrapping, I hate wrapping but love presents

Sugarspun - well done on being so organised that's fab. Lol at waiting for challenge that made me smile. Have picture in my head of you sat in front of computer now with the baby in arms waiting for dinner

Angela- what's the collage envelopes please. I'm nosey. Had a laugh you needed a kettle and went in the pub.

Suzitiger I'm glad the thread doesn't go quickly as I can't keep up as it is. I done some crafting at the weekend and I am pleased as I have worked out how to schedule posts so have new posts scheduled for Tuesday , Thursdays and Sundays for the next two weeks. Not that impressed with blogspot though.

They sent an Email which was a bit cryptic saying that I'd violated their terms but they can't say how. And to put an appeal in. How do you appeal to that if you don't know what you've done? So I appealed using their form. Which was short and sweet. I now have to wait to see if it was successful to see where I go from here. Wasn't the easiest thing to appeal to when they wouldn't tell me what I did. Lol

And if appeal unsuccessful , their word is final.

    Not sure what happens then

Think I'll have a think about changing bloggers. Anyone use anything else they could recommend?

I got some needles from the charity shop and I have finally got knitting :T phew! I am going for a scarf and hot water bottle covers I think although I am not entirely sure how to negotiate them as I cant follow a pattern or anything its all guess work!

I found some buttons in my DD fav animal on ebay which I won so I need to think what I can do with them...

I need an idea for my son really (he is 16) he is getting money for Christmas so wont be getting much else from me other than a sleigh but I would like to give him something else to open.

I use Wordpress for my work blog, very user friendly and clean. Strange that you got that email though :( I hope it gets sorted.

I've treated myself to one (very mse as used vouchers) the one they have at the mo was my DVD/Video I brought that when Miss Hoodie was 2... its had its moneys worth...thou thinking I paid about £400 back then.

It was like my 1st mobile phone (when they were sizes of bricks) got my 1st two from at catalogue - £500 but if you activated it, they took £400 off the price... ah the memories....

Even better as they were 2 for £20 (got the green one) thats going to Miss Hoodies tap teacher, shes a friend as well, just lost her stepmum last mth of 25yrs -Miss Hoodie has done some home crafting of plate, bowl, mug all in ballet shoes design, then got home made jams, a mini xmas cake - should look nice when its all poshed up.

Don't know if there any good for anyone but Asda have the small boxes of Chocs for £2, Heroes, Quality Street, Roses, Celebrations - good value for stockings....

Worth keeping an eye out as supermarkets are all trying to outdo each other with soend £x get this off before /after Xmas.....

Morrisons spend £40 per week 9 out of 10 weeks - £40 free shopping before Xmas

Waitrose (members card think is free) - spend £? 4 weeks - get £25 in new year

Tesco - know this week spend £40 get £5 off next week shop - Not sure if there jump on the band wagon with the longer spend period.

Aldi - buy paper {mirror} thurs get £5 off £40

Mum2one those bracelets are gorgeous, I assume the next link is a DVD player, nice , like the idea of the posh craft hampers- I'm currently sorting out an American sweet one for DS sooo expensive

Clarydd- there's lots of bargains going around be worth keeping eyes peeled on grabbit board . I know baileys on offer at more reasons £9

Sugarspun - thxs for that I'll check wordpress out. I now have visions of baby sugarspun asleep everywhere. Mine used to be like that. Those were the days

Willow - well done on the knitting, it's not something I've mastered not for want of trying. 16 year olds tricky. I got my stepson a maze ball last christmas he's 34 he loved it but my DS has requested one of his own he's 21. Harmless fun and the whole family has had a go. And it's been brought out a few times since
DD is ok. They're hoping the splinters of the tooth can work their way out of the jaw , if not they'll have another go at getting them. She's on strong painkillers so the pains manageable for the most part. Like I said to her if she stopped talking and eating it wouldn't hurt so much lol

Well I sold some things on eBay and got abit carried away yesterday. I was putting offers in on things one ended up with 22 items and bidding on another 21 . I hope I get outbid on some of them as all my offers were accepted :-0

And it would have been rude not to have them all ;-)

Today is a unproductive day. I'm fixing a PC for a friend. By the sound of it , it could be a long job :-(

Good luck with the pc Susan, and well done on the presents Mum2one. I picked up a few bits for ED's hamper in Morrisons yesterday, got home and checked my list and only one was on it haha so she has two extra bits in there now and the list isn't going down.

I had a go at altering a coat the other day. It was one that looks like sheepskin on the front but has thick fur on the back. My OH bought it a few years ago for me and it was a size 26 I think. Wasnt sure if my sewing machine would sew it as its so thick but managed it. Good job I got that free tailors dummy last year. I now have a nice warm coat in case we get the snow next month like they are predicting. I need to put another button it as it only came with one and the front gapes open a bit, (bad design) so ordered two new ones off ebay.

We had our ebay bits finish Sunday, sold a few of them. I didnt mind as OH had already done a deal and bought me a new dress to wear Xmas if he could have all the money from the sales. Dress was £27.99 and he made about £35 lol so think I won that one.

Picked up some nice wrapping paper in family bargain yesterday (seems to be same company as 99p shop but sell things that are not just 99p) the paper was £1 a roll and really nice looking, cant wait to start wrapping up and sorting out properly, then we can see what we have.

Bought YD another present to go with her food hamper. I have been getting her a new pair of converse for xmas for the last few years so had a look on Amazon and saw some nice ones with Union Jacks on, thought she would like them, they were £29.99 so put them in my wish list, carried on looking and found the same ones further on for £50, carried on looking and another pair also £50 but said reduced from £70 so went back in my wish list and got the £29.99 ones. I had enough vouchers to pay for them. Leaves me with £5 on there now. Need to get some more in as OH wants new trainers for Xmas, seen his ones for £39. I have £45 owing me from T0luna so hoping they will arrive next month, then I will be able to get them for him.

Think that's it for now, hope you are all well xx
