I'm having to write everything down rather than log it on my phone app which is a right pain!:mad:

I know you ladies are all doing the weightwatchers program but are you all members? and if not how are you recording everything? (I need to write it all down as it then keeps me on the straight and narrow). If I could find a free program that I could record the points on it would be a big help and cheaper too ;)

I am a member but had trouble with the app so am not currently using it. I track online but also use myfitnesspal. It's free and I find it really good, especially the app as you can scan barcodes in. It counts calories rather than ww points but ww points is only really a complicated calorie counting system.

I have considered cancelling WW and just using myfitnesspal. However, I am only paying £5 per month for Esource so will stick with it for now.

I'm using the app at the moment and finding it great. I was at our annual village ball last night and I recorded all my drinks as I had them, and as the points mounted up I switched to diet coke, whereas previously I would have just kept drinking... I also only went to the buffet once and went for the things that didn't have bread or pastry, so I'm hoping it hasn't cost me too dearly, although I'm now out of weekly points and weigh in not until Tuesday. Back on track today :-) weigh is is at 9.15am, so I don't have a whole Tuesday to get through first!

Also spent the whole of last night dancing so hopefully this will have offset some of the damage. I reckon we were on the dance floor for at least 90 minutes over the evening, shall have to point that up :-) I have sore feet this morning, but no hangover! I guess that's a side effect of pointing drinks as I go along...

Had tea, felt all virtuous and good as it was loads of veg and I did mini toads-in-the-hole to control portion size, then went to track it and I forgot that peas and sweetcorn are NOT zero points, so I've spent 8 points on veg when I could have had carrots and broccoli which are free... I am nice and full though! Fruit salad later after kids in bed, they finished the rhubarb crumble I made the other day so that temptation is gone.

Weigh-in day. Only lost 0.2lb but I'm surprised I didn't gain as I'm currently bloated like crazy, smack back in the middle of a bout of PMS. I always seem to have a rubbish week just before my period. Hopefully will have calmed down again by next Sunday!

Hope everyone else is having a good week. :)

    Well decision made!!

As I've got at least another 3 stone to lose I've decided to go back to WW as I think staying to the meetings every week is keeping me honest ;)

I tried to do-it-alone before Xmas and managed 7lbs loss but 2lbs went back on over the Xmas period. Since I started using the monthly pass and attending the meetings I've lost 29 1/2lbs so with my previous efforts that 34 1/2lbs in total :D.

Have done a clear out this weekend of my wardrobe and everything that's too big is now in a bin bag ready for the charity shop tomorrow...........there's not a lot left that fits so think I'm going to have to go shopping too:p

    Have a good week everyone

I've been doing SW for the past 12 weeks and I've only lost half a stone (I do have quite a lot to lose). I don't feel the class I go to is all that good, the talk is mainly about people's gain or loses. To be honest, I don't really have a clue what I'm doing, I feel we are thrown in at the deep end, a quick 5 minute talk, then get on with it. I know half a stone is damn good for me, but surely my loss should be more? Is the WW class different to this? I really could do with listening to other people's stories, maybe meals they have tried etc.

If you have done both SW and WW, which one have you lost the most weight on?

Is membership free at WW at the moment?

    Thanks

One thing is really dislike about sw is the hour spent going around the room while everyone has their chat.
You get the natural attention seekers who want to talk about every bit of their life,
The "I was scared getting on the scales because ive had fish & chips and pizza this week (not great when you're depriving yourself & its slow & hard.

I much prefer ww format of a chat about something useful.

Why? Why do I make cake for the children and firmly believe I can resist eating it myself when I know better? Especially after a fraught weekend with DS, as his last back molar is coming through and he is whiny as which always winds me up. And when I'm stressed, I eat. Of course. On the other hand, lemon and coconut impossible pie is my favourite, so at least points spent on something I like!

I've only been back with WW for one week, but from previous memories the chat always was really useful... Not done slimming world...

I lost a pound this week. As I gained a pound last week it puts me back to where I was 2 weeks ago. My weight loss has been very much in fits and starts so I'm not letting it get to me. I reckon it will be early next year before I get down to my target weight, which would give me a BMI of 25. I've lost 2.5 stone to date.

A tiny tin of tuna in brine is 1 point. A larger (130g drained weight) tin is about 2.5 times the size of it.
If I put it in my propoints calculator it comes out at 13 points.
    What am I doing wrong?
Can someone confirm drained weight 130g of tinned tunain brine is 3 points, please.
