Well done everyone on the losses! I lost another lb this week which I'm happy with as its usually the week I'd STS or put on slightly due to water retention. We have a buffet today at work, may the force be with me!!! My plan is to still have porridge for my breakfast so I'm not ravenous and take a measured approach - wish me luck!!! :D
  • Best of luck to you!

How has everyone done this week? I am very pleased because I lost 6.5lb (reaffirming my weird pattern of a large loss followed by a few smaller ones). This has taken me to a total loss of 2 stone and 9.4lbs. Yay!

Had my first weigh in (after two weeks as on hols) and lost 4lbs so i'm really pleased! However, I have binged a little this weekend so need to get back on track before my next weigh in. Why I do it to myself, I don't know?!?! :-(

Well done everyone else on their weight loss. At the moment i'm sticking to WW products where I can for meals as it helps me work point etc - just whilst i'm finding my feet as all new to me. Trying to add lots of fruit and salad to everything and have as snacks.

I've two runs with friends planned this week too so I guess that is good.

Hi choc-addict. Well done you! Word of warming though -- don't rely on the ww products, simply because they are not realistic over the long term. You will want to eat normal food, so teaching yourself portion sizes and points of normal food really is the way forward. :) good luck!

  • I gained 2lbs this week - know why!

Had a crazy old binge after losing only 1/2lb last week but now I have gone & gained 2 - why do I do this to myself!!

Back on track tho - eaten most of my weeklies during this weekend.

Got some zero pp curried butternut squash soup on so will be eating that with lunch through this week.

    Xxx

That is amazing, well done!!! You must feel fantastic.

I've had a bit of a wobble this week, I've not really gone mad but I've found it hard to focus, not having a great time with OH so I think that's the root of the problem - still determined to stick to my guns though, I will feel better for it I know and more able to cope with life in general! Feeling a bit teary at the moment but I know it will pass. Aiming to hit the gym tomorrow and feel better for it :)

Thanks, I really do. I've got hardly any clothes now though and I'm not that keen on spending much because I still want to lose more. I'm focusing on training now, which really helps: doing running, yoga, and weights.

I think you definitely have the right attitude. :) this is a journey, really, and we need to navigate the problem areas where we may end up eating - hormones and comfort eating are biggies, I'm guessing, for most women. Well done for managing to fight your way through them!

that's brilliant. I seem to have a similar pattern. If I have a really good loss (3 pounds or more) then I seem to get a few weeks where I lose very little, stay the same and/or regain some weight. Now I can see this pattern I try not to let it get to me and just plough on until the weight loss starts again. I lost 4.6 pounds last week but put a pound on this week, which I actually expected. Unless I'm very lucky I will probably struggle for the next few weeks until the scales start moving in the right direction again.

Huh, well I went back to WW - first time since 2004, when I lost 2stone. However, I've had 3 children since then (in 5 years). Youngest now 5 months so time to start kicking the baby weight.

Good news - I am not currently as heavy as I was at my maximum.

Bad news, I'm 14st3.5lbs and need to lose 35lbs just to get to the top of my BMI range. (I'm 5'8" tall). I never thought I would officially be obese as I am tall and can carry it without really people noticing. And I'm a size 14/16 - I had this impression of obesity being like size 22/24, not 14/16. Just shows how wrong you can be.

Aiming for 13st7lbs in the first instance. Having a day at home today with the baby and I'm weighing everything. There's about 8 shreddies in a 30g portion! Am really shocked by how much I must have been overeating by...

OH needs to lose weight as well and since he eats what I cook (if he knows what's good for him!) and I do his packups as well, hopefully this will rub off on him.

I have an emotional attachment to eating, I love bread and I make my own, so we never run out. Bad combination...

Aim is to go back to work in September 20lbs lighter and see where we go from there...
