Seems like you know what you're doing too, so good luck with your goals!
I'm pleased to report I am another 2lb down this week, taking me to 2 stone and a half pound loss overall. Pretty good going in around three months, I think!
This week I have added weights back into my work out routine and I'm definitely feeling it. Looking forward to the next few weeks as I'm now focusing on losing that third stone. I have no real end goal in sight...hopefully when I get lower I will see the finishing line in sight. I think once I get to a size 12 I will know where I'm at (I'm currently hovering between a size 14 and 16).
Hope you've had a good week, noel!
Well done. I'm so jealous! I've lost around 2 stone but that has taken me 6 months. That wouldn't bother me as it averages out at around a pound a week, which is reasonable. However I have gained half a pound this week and haven't been getting anywhere over the last few weeks. I am losing and gaining within a range of a couple of pounds, even though I'm sticking to the plan. I'm not eating too much or too little and having very few lapses. It's hard to stay motivated when you're not seeing any results but I know if I don't keep on track I will end up gaining weight so keep reminding myself of that.
Hopefully I will have better news to report soon.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
Wonder if I might join you too??
I've been going to WW since mid Jan and so far have lost 24.5lbs but feel like I'm starting to run out of steam. I get weighed each Thursday at a meeting and have two more Thursdays before I go on holiday so am hoping to hit the 2 stone mark:j..that's 3.5lbs so do-able (I hope).
I've been going to the gym once a week and this week also went swimming too. Hopefully now the weather is getting warmer I'll be able to keep this up:).
After a tip from the leader at this weeks meeting I've been out and bought some 10 inch dinner plates so I'm hoping this will help too and I'm on the look out for a cheap skipping rope so I can exercise a bit at home too.

Happy to swell the numbers and hope that's the only thing that'll be swelling, I want everything else to shrink!! :rotfl: Thank you for the warm welcome.
Is anyone else a fiend for constantly weighing themselves?? I really try not to but its soo tempting! I'm due my official WI on Tues night but the scales don't seem to have moved much so far.... Will try and stay off them between now and then! I've stuck to my points, having some weekly's leftover, haven't touched my AP and have been to the gym three times so far this week - will hopefully go tomorrow as well so should be fine, fingers crossed.
You've all done so well, its definitely inspiring. I know there are forums on the WW site but I've never really known where to start with them - I come on this site quite a bit and keep up with a few different threads so I think this will suit me much better.
I'm going to dig out my tape measure tonight and record my measurements as something else to keep track of other than weight, especially if I do keep up going to the gym a lot as could be building muscle and getting toned without necessarily losing weight at times.
I've done WW before but never really felt like I'd get all the way to goal but for some reason feel different this time, I seem to have a more laidback and less obsessive attitude about in and realistically know I'm in it for the long haul. The fact that OH is also trying to be healthier is going to make things easier also although he was trying to tempt me with a tub of Haagen Daaz last night, waving it under my nose every five minutes... I think he just wanted me to join in to make him feel less guilty but my resolve didn't crumble :A
The weekend is nearly over and I think most people would agree this is the hardest time! Keep up the good work :T0 -

Hello and welcome. The more the merrier. I'm intrigued about the 10 inch dinner plates! Is that a small size and is the idea that if you use a small plate then your food looks 'bigger'? I do have some plates that are inbetween the size of a side plate and a dinner plate and I use them sometimes.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -

I have got into the habit of weighing myself daily lately and I really shouldn't. I have even hidden the bathroom scales from myself a couple of times and think I need to do that again.
I do use the forums on the WW site but I'm not that keen on them. The different sub forums are confusing and I never know which one to post on so only really dip in a bit. I do prefer it here, especially now there are a few more of us.
Does anyone else use myfitnesspal? I track my food on there as well as on the WW tracker and prefer it. The app is great. You scan a barcode in and it knows what it is and adds it to your food diary. It's a pity the WW app doesn't do that.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
Evening! I am shuffling (or maybe slinking) back here after too long away......by the end of Feb I'd found I'd plateaued and got very demoralised so I gave SW a while to see if a shift in approach might kick start the weight loss. I lost a few pounds over six weeks, but although being able not to point everything is appealing, I've found it quite hard having to be fresh food heavy.....the 'syns' are quite limited and eating with a family wasn't as easy as I was expecting (and I do cook a lot from scratch, go figure!)
Anyway, I've reread this thread and am going to get back to WW. My WI day is a Monday. Weight wise I got to goal (on line) but am currently three pounds over. I'm going to invest in the app mentioned earlier in the thread which has the barcode scanner in it, but log officially on my WW app.
I'm trying to focus on the fact that I'm over a stone lighter than this time last year (I started WW on line last July) and I have kept my jeans to remind me how much I've lost physically. I just need to stop sabotaging myself and keep slogging away.
Wish me luck! And well done to you hard core losers!!! xxx0 -

Sounds like you've already done amazingly, well done! I tried SW once for a little while, first week's results were really good but found it difficult to fit into my usual schedule - its not as easy to do on the go if you see what I mean - means being very organised I think. I much prefer WW as I don't have a massive appetite but I like to be able to have a bit of what I fancy and I think the propoints system makes this easier, especially with your weeklies.
Its my WI tonight, I've been to the gym four times this week at an hour or so a time and I've got 10 or so weekies left and I don't touch AP plus I've tracked on my phone religiously so fingers crossed for a decent loss - aiming for two pounds but will be reasonably happy with anything after a big loss to start last week.
Have a good day!0 -
Hi there,
Mind if I join in???
Am attending my very first WW meeting tomorrow evening. I've slowly put on over a stone since my wedding this time last year and no matter what I do (obv not very much) I seem to lose a few lbs, put a few lbs on.....you know the cycle so now made the decision to attend a class.
I've never done WW before on indeed any other sliming class so very new to it all. Any tips would be fab!
I'm kind of excited about it to be honest as feel as though i'm now taking some positive steps to working off the stone and x lbs that I have put on. Waiting for first official WI tom to see exactly how much!

Hi All,
Welcome Choc-addict great name!
Had my WI last night and I've lost another lb - can't say I wasn't a little disappointed after going to the gym four times but after a big loss last week I can't really complain and its in the right direction.
I am tracking religiously but sometimes worry I use too many points on snacking or sweet stuff (although I'm managing to steer clear of chocolate at the moment) - do you think you can misuse your points whilst staying within your allocation? I'd be interested to hear opinions on this. I think I'd struggle to eat my daily points otherwise as don't have very big meals. Snacking is what's got me in trouble in the first place!
I've ordered myself some new trainers and gym kit which will arrive tomorrow so plan is gym tomorrow and Fri after work and then Sat morn, may have Sunday off0 -

Welcome back. When you say you're going to 'invest' in an app with a barcode scanner, which app do you mean? Myfitnesspal is free to use and I would recommend it. I have heard of another one called Nutracheck which you do have to pay for, although I don't think it costs much. It would possibly be better as it is UK based rather than US but I do find the database on myfitnesspal very good - much better than the WW one.
I have considered cancelling my WW membership and using myfitnesspal exclusively but I only pay £5 per month for Esource so will stick with it for now.3 stone down, 3 more to go0
