Well done Jansus! If someone had told you 8 weeks ago that you'd be a stone lighter by March I bet you wouldn't have believed them. I have had my cast and stitches removed today, and I'm really pleased with the results, I'm still very swollen but I can see how its going to look now and I'm thrilled. I weighed myself yesterday and was the same weight as just before the op so I was pleased with that considering the fact that I've been sitting round recovering for a week and have been eating a lot of ice cream to sooth a dry throat! Although really I should have lost weight since I have less nose now!I think I will give myself another week off then return with a vengeance.

Only lost half a pound this week, which I am confused about because I've eaten pretty healthily, and I worked out four times this week. Any ideas, anyone? I ate all my weeklies but none of my activity points. Can't think where it went wrong this week at all! Oh well, back on the soups for lunch this week (had tuna light lunches this week) and we will see what happens.

sometimes there's no rhyme or reason to it. I lost 4.8 pounds a couple of weeks ago with seemingly not much effort but there have been times when I have felt I've been very 'good' and either stayed the same or even gained weight.

I've lost 0.2 pounds this week - big wow! It could have been a lot worse though as I went out for a Chinese meal one night and hit the bottle another night. My son is cooking a roast for me today but need to get right back on it tomorrow. I'm still a pound over what I was 2 weeks ago and need to get things moving in the right direction again.

  • I think it can just be your body being stubborn really.

Sometimes when I am actually on track & I feel I have had a really good week it doesn't really show on the scales but have you measured in inches cos you might be losing inches & not lbs

I agree there doesn't seem to be a reason sometimes, which is great when you've been naughty and lost, but not so great when you've tried really hard and stayed the same or lost a fraction :o
Weigh in for me tomorrow another pound off would be very welcome ;)

Thanks everyone, you've made me feel a little better! I think because I was feeling it before ( as in I actually felt physical changes) and now I am not, it's getting harder to stay upbeat with it all. I keep trying to tell myself living a healthier lifestyle should be reward enough. Haha.

I feel like my clothes are looser too, though, and I've been debating trying on trousers a size down, but I don't want to upset everything if they are still too tight. May give it another week first! Lol

Hi, I hope it is ok to join your thread, im lookig for help & support and to be part of a forum that supports/helps each other? I joined WW last night after 14months on SW (and lost 5s 8lb). I really struggled the last 4 months on sw, on plan yo-yoed up and down only lost 7lb in 17 weeks so joined WW to see if I can carry on loosing.

I have to say I planned my meals for the week, im allowed 33 pp which seems alot.

Do I have to eat all of my daily allowance (if I dont want to) will it affect my losses? Same goes for my 49 weekly allowance?

Sorry so many questions, trying to get my head around it all as totally diff to what im used to.

If anyone has any help or tips to get me started I would really appreciate it - I used FB alot on the other plan but there doesnt seem to be so many FB groups for WW :(

Here is my 1st days menu, does it look ok?
    B 50g crunch nut cornflakes (6) 1/2pt milk skimmed (3)
L 2 egg omellete (6) with mush toms onion then 200g FF nat yog (2) & fruit
D 150g pork chop (7) in tinned toms (1) with onion & garlic, 150g JP (3) courgettes, carrot brocolli then muller greek yog (3)

    31PP /33PP daily allowance

Will snack on fruit if hungry in between

Thanks, and hope everyone has a good week

    Lisa :)

    Hi and welcome Lisa

You've done really well to lose so much. How much more do you want/need to lose? Opinions differ on whether you should use all your dailies/weeklies. I would say it is a matter of trial and error and seeing what works for you.

Your menu looks fine. The pp for the jacket potato seem low though. How did you work them out? Also, I noticed you've pointed tinned tomatoes and I thought they were zero points.

Have you been on WW online? There are lots of forums on there. This one is great but if you want an instant answer to a question then you're more likely to get one there as more people use it.
