2013 WW Goals..........

Hello Lisa i would say you should eat all your daily's and the weeklies are there as a back up either using them to top up your daily's (which may seem a lot now but won't feel like it in a few weeks) or use them as a treat, it's nice to know you can have something you crave now and again without going over your points. I agree about the ww website the forums are a mine of knowledge. Good luck
I lost a pound this week every little helpsso that's 15 altogether

1.5lb loss this week. Interestingly, when I weighed midweek to see how I was doimg, there was no shift at all. Out of desperation not to lose only half a pound like the week before, I ate more than I would have usually the last two days and it's helped me to achieve a loss. I ate all but seven of my weeklies, and I did five sessions on the treadmill this week. Maybe I wasn't eating enough for the exercise I was doing.
This week I am going to have one "eat more" day, probably on Tuesday, and I will see what that does to my weight loss.
Thank god I got a better loss this week. Hopefully it will continue again.Sealed Pot Challenge 2013 #1947 (open the pot on 28th November 2013!)

well done on your loss. I know a lot of people think that if you don't eat enough you won't lose weight but I don't subscribe to that theory. It's based on the idea that if you don't eat enough your body will go into 'starvation mode' and conserve fat but there is plenty of research that dispels that notion. Also if you look at the extremes of people with anorexia or living in the 3rd world then sadly they never have trouble losing weight.
Having said that, different things work for different people and it's never a good idea to cut down too much as you are likely to not be getting all the nutrients you need and could make yourself ill.
I've lost 1.8lb this week which I'm pleased about as I haven't done very well in the last couple of weeks. I also had 2 'bad' days this week - Mothers Day and Friday when I hit the bottle and ate everything that wasn't nailed down! I've lost 24.8lb in 5 months which works out at an average of around 1lb a week.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
Hi all, can I join your thread pls. I have all the weight watchers bumf from joining but I'm not going back this time I'm going to try and do it on my own. Ive got 2 stone to loose, but to get through a day without overeating at moment would be an achievement also I am not going to weigh in
until 4 wks are up because previously when I've lost weight Ive ended up celebrating by eating and put all my loss back on.0 -
Hey Charley. Yes, come join us. The more the merrier. I like the accountability from posting in this thread. Hope you have had a good week for weight loss. Have you tried setting yourself treats that are not food, for when you reach certain goals? I booked myself in for a facial when I hit my 5%. When I hit my next goal I will book in for another. I have other things planned for later on down the line (massage, jewellery, a tattoo). Really works for me, especially if I don't allow myself the treat, period, unless I reach the goal.Sealed Pot Challenge 2013 #1947 (open the pot on 28th November 2013!)

Lost just over 1lb. Bit disappointed it wasn't more, though I am still on track. Ate nearly all my weeklies too and did a lot of exercise. I have only just got my period though, and I am bloated, so I hope to see a better drop next week.
Still, a loss is a loss, right?Sealed Pot Challenge 2013 #1947 (open the pot on 28th November 2013!)

This thread is exceptionally quiet! I hope everyone is OK. I've lost 3.4lbs this week. However, that was when I weighed myself on Friday. I have gained today and yesterday. I was working on an essay on Friday and celebrated by having pizza and wine and am paying the price now!
I've been trying to only weigh myself once a week but give in to temptation and do it more often at times. I've been hiding the bathroom scales from myself and think it's time to hide them again!
I don't know whether it's a coincidence but the weeks when I eat less fruit I seem to lose more. I don't eat loads of fruit but some days I can have a banana, an apple, 2 satsumas, a nectarine and some grapes, or something along those lines. I know fruit is free with WW but there are still calories in it. I don't want to have to cut down on fruit but if I do then I will try to replace it with more veg and salad.
Hope everyone else is doing OK.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
Hey everyone! Happy Easter!
Well, my theory about period water retention was likely right because I've dropped over 7lb this week, taking my total loss to date of 1 stone and 10lb!!! I am insanely pleased, and I will need to keep this in mind for the couple of weeks next month when I am not losing much -- it will be the water retention hiding it (I did google this, and it seems to be the case with most women).
Noelphobic -- interestingly, I haven't eaten much fruit this week either, but I did eat a lot of veggies. Fruit does have a fairly high sugar content, even if they are natural sugars, so maybe that has something to do with it. Different things seem to work for different people too. Personally, my body doesn't deal that well with carbs so I try and limit them and I find I feel much better for it (it loves protein!). I'm also finding if I don't eat so many weeklies I do better, and finding exercise I enjoy makes me focus on a goal which isn't exclusively about weight loss.
Hope everyone else is doing well!!!Sealed Pot Challenge 2013 #1947 (open the pot on 28th November 2013!)

Well done. 7lb is brilliant. I'd better watch out or you'll be overtaking me and I've been at it since last October!
I do think I could do with eating less carbs. I know protein is supposed to make you feel fuller for longer so I am looking at increasing that while still eating healthily.
I bought some crisps in Morrisons yesterday from their Nu Me range. I thought it was a multipack but realised when I opened them that it was just one large single pack - doh! I ended up eating them all but did point them (10 points so a lot less than a box of Pringles would have been, at least!) I changed my weigh in day from Sunday to Friday last week but that messed up all my weekly points (because I'd ate most of them on Friday!)
I have been weighing daily this week - which I know I shouldn't - and the numbers don't look good unfortunately. Depending on what the scales say on Friday morning I might change back to Sunday again. Last week I weighed myself on Friday, Saturday AND Sunday on a 'best of 3' basis! Friday won.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
Has anyone tried Graze boxes? I've been thinking of trying them for some time and saw this offer. Posting it here in case anyone else is interested.
