OMG I have died and gone to heaven lol!!!
I am one of these that start with good intentions and my mid Jan my carefully, planned organisation system goes to pot and the scraps of paper list triumph!
But...having read this thread, I have come up with a great idea, I bought a 2013 Diary/Weekly Planner from the book club at work
The diary is a week view but I thought I could rename the sections as follows:
Monday = Weekly Meal Plan
Tuesday = Shopping List
Wednesday = Events (birthdays, anniversaries, days out etc)
Thursday = Reminders/To do
Friday = Weekly Spends
Saturday = Recipes to try (Guilty I print recipes, buy ingredients and then forget them)
Sunday = BLANK
Any comments for improvement?0 -
I've stollen a few of the printable taht have been posted, Thank you!
I've been wanting one of these household management thingies ever since i seen one being filled out on 'kate plus eight' the only episode i have ever seen. she made instructions for everything! how to fix your boiler, washing machine, everything that has a possibility of breaking. when it broke she got someone out to fix it and she made them tell her everything on how to fix it!Living Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb

That's really interesting - see how she's written
"Those are followed by the Monthly Calendar. I went back and forth on this quite a bit, trying to decided if I wanted to use the monthly calendar as divider pages as well, with the weekly planners in between, but in the end I opted to keep the monthly ones all together. "
That's how I've got mine set up just now - monthly calendar then the weekly ones, then the next monthly one etc ...
Will see how it works ... haven't written on my dividers yet!;)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Oh my, I may have to start a folder.
I wonder if I'll feel too frivolous using printed sheets rather than old christmas cardsmight have to indulge tomorrow.

This thread reminds me of a Christmas present i used to get every year without fail from my SIL. I dont know if any of you can remember them but they were called the Dairy Diary and my SIL used to get them from her milkman. She bought me one every Christmas until she stopped having the milk delivered. It was worth its weight in gold just for the snippets of information that was printed in it.
I was only thinking about getting a Diary a few days ago as i had forgotten one of my friends birthday.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
You people make me sick.......sick of being disorganised! Seriously this is a great idea, I'm going to pick up a diary tomorrow, and the idea about have a note of the kids/dh clothes/shoe sizes just blows me away. I struggle to remember their birthdays!0
