  • Someone mentioned this place to me late last year. It was a girl in work that was going for a wedding, and one of the guys chose this as their 'brunch' of the trip. She had suggested Bellagio or Wynn, but they chose to go there. I never did find out what it was like though, as she was hungover and didn't go with them! :( It looked fairly expensive for brunch though, and was a bit different to other brunches in that you order your main course from a menu, buffet I think is for starters etc.

Not sure how it works for other meals though.

well here's something I thought I'd never say...

We've booked a couple of nights @ Monte Carlo!

We'd initially got a similar deal @ NYNY (2 cheap nights and a free buffet for 2 people). We've stayed there before though and for an extra dollar we get to try Monte Carlo and get the same free buffet offer and try a place we've not stayed before and to be honest, we've never really stuck around before, but on passing through a couple of times last year, didn't actually look that bad

Pool options look good too - never realised they had a lazy river and a wave pool! :)

TBH, it'll be nice to try somewhere that's new to us - i'll do a write up on our return as it's somewhere that doesn't get mentioned much on here

Pebblesmax try your travel insurance. I had a similar thing a couple of years ago where I had a return flight from JFK to Antigua booked for my honeymoon. Delta changed my return leg to a different airport and only offered me a refund. I rang my travel insurance who said they would cover the cost of getting me back to JFK. So I had to book a seperate flight from Antigua to JFK via Puerto Rico. They paid up :-)

Doesnt the above read that you are entitled to a refund or a reroute and pebbles has been offered a refund.
    1. Where reference is made to this Article, passengers shall be offered the choice between:

This is the important part, "shall be offered the choice between a refund and a re-route". I am sure pebbles would choose the re-route as a refund won't cover the cost of new flights.

    Hi,

Tomorrow I am flying to Vegas for 5 nights, staying at the Flamingo hotel. If anyone wants me to check anything whilst I'm there I'll try and help.

I've been planning my trip for months and have used many of the money saving tips that have been shared on this site. Sometimes though I've been unsure whether to book something before our visit or wait till we get there - hence this post!

Would love an update on the construction of Linq - specifically whether you got much noise from it. Thanks loads :)

    Have a fantastic time!
  • Hi Everyone

I'm busy planning my honeymoon which starts with 4 night in Vegas (from Aug 5th 2013). I've never been before but have kinda decided on The Mirage as our hotel of choice being reasonably located on The Strip. It also looks the type of place we'd like re style and pool etc. I've read many pages (not all) of this thread and am a bit confused by some of the MSE Vegas jargon... how does this Best Rate thing work? Can I utilise it? (not booked hotel yet but have priced it up at a few places). What else should I consider re The Mirage?

Also, is it feasible to check out of hotel and leave bags until the evening as our next flight isn't until about 10pm when we fly onwards to Aruba!!!

    TIA

    congratulations!
absolutely, when you check out, just say you'd like to store your luggage as you're flight isn't until later... or you could ask about a late check-out if you wanted your room for a little longer.

A couple we met were staying there and said construction noise started at 4am, as they get going early in Vegas to avoid the heat when its hot.

I'd advise go for a room at the front, they were at the back.

They're constructing the wheel too so its all going on.

All booked - 7th to 21st July as follows:

4 nights Cosmo (City Room @ £61.50 per night inc. resort fee via LowcostUSA)
3 nights M Resort (King room @ £60 per night via Alpha Rooms)
4 nights Four Seasons (Superior room @ £82.75 per night via Thomas Cook)
3 nights Staybridge Suites (1 br suite @ Free with IHG points)

Maybe not particularly MSE in some cases, however I have been doing daily price comparisons over a number of sites and am happy with what we've paid overall. We could have stayed much cheaper, however have wanted to experience the tranquility of Four Seasons for sometime and have done, Mandarin, Encore, Wynn etc. previously.

Looking forward to Cosmo too - love the restaurants there so will be nice to stay for the first part of the trip :j:j:j:j
