ha - it's not just you though, it's us too.
I would of course not expect you to schedule your trips around us...just think it's a shame that I think both trips this year you guys arrive as we depart...I do think last/first day will be really difficult...especially as I'm a bag of nerves that last day, I'm probably not very nice to be around.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Have downloaded my vegas app, slots machines continue to confuse me! Genuinely don't see how some spins are wins and some not - can anyone explain it to me. I understood the one line fruit machines but I don't get winning lines...really don't see the skill of slots0

pebbles, you are entitled to re-routing even though it is with a different airline. Don't let Virgin tell you any different. Check Article 8 here
http://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=CELEX:32004R0261:EN:HTML
Article 8
Right to reimbursement or re-routing
1. Where reference is made to this Article, passengers shall be offered the choice between:
(a) - reimbursement within seven days, by the means provided for in Article 7(3), of the full cost of the ticket at the price at which it was bought, for the part or parts of the journey not made, and for the part or parts already made if the flight is no longer serving any purpose in relation to the passenger's original travel plan, together with, when relevant,
- a return flight to the first point of departure, at the earliest opportunity;
(b) re-routing, under comparable transport conditions, to their final destination at the earliest opportunity; or
(c) re-routing, under comparable transport conditions, to their final destination at a later date at the passenger's convenience, subject to availability of seats.
However you may be on a sticky wicket if you have already accepted something else. You should have asked here first!0 -
I haven't accepted anything. I told them I was going to ask my friends on here and facebook where I stood before I accepted anything less than delivery to my original chosen destination. I also said I would like compensation for lost time since they were not fulfilling their contact.
We will see what happens.
I just flew in from Spain today and am really tired, but I can't sleep because all these scenarios keep coming into my head. I'll write a list and get back on the phone tomorrow. If I don't get any joy, I'll be very unhappy.0 -
Sorry, I read your post to mean that you had accepted the best of a bad lot. Apologies.
In that case, that's great. You can quote the regulations to them and they can't refuse you a re-routing as the choice is yours whether you accept re-routing or a refund.
They have to get you back to your original destination.0 -
Hi,
Tomorrow I am flying to Vegas for 5 nights, staying at the Flamingo hotel. If anyone wants me to check anything whilst I'm there I'll try and help.
I've been planning my trip for months and have used many of the money saving tips that have been shared on this site. Sometimes though I've been unsure whether to book something before our visit or wait till we get there - hence this post!0 -
really don't see the skill of slots
there is no skill, that's why some people like them.
I don't know if this helps at all or not...the same principle applies as a one-line fruit machine...except there are more colums, more lines and they are not all straight...so a winning combination on any of the marked lines (normaly consecutive left to right only, but a few machines pay both left to right and right to left) below will be a win...a winning combination that follows a different path where there is no win line will not.
If you get used to a particular machine, it's easier to see 'oh, that's a shame that's not a win' as you get used to the win lines...on new machines sometimes there is disappointment if something 'looks' like it should be a win and is not...one of the hard things in going from playing a 20 or 50 line machine to a 9 line machine...so many less winning combinations so have to reset your brain (what little is used for slots, and I can say that as I am a slot player).
I don't like the slots on My Vegas - not compared to real slots, anyway...for what that is worth.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Doesnt the above read that you are entitled to a refund or a reroute and pebbles has been offered a refund.
Sorry pebbles, I may be reading it wrong and it def sucks0 -
