It has to be .co.uk The .com site is for US and Canada residents only. .co.uk is in £ but they email you the equivalent price in $ each time you bid.

I still use the US site tbh even for UK bookings just out of habit really. Got the Crowne Plaza in Liverpool a couple of weeks ago.

One thing with PL that can catch you out is you think you know which hotel and they gave you a free upgrade eg bid 3 star and get given 3.5 or 4 star. Not usually an issue just one of those things to keep in mind.

I know what you mean... I'm always slightly concerned about this as I see it fall on my 'widget' each day, however when you look at it on paper (and i'm not known for my maths skills, so I could be way off on this) ;)

    £1000 would have been $1610
    £1000 is now (approx) $1549

    A difference of around $60, or £40... or 4%

I'll be a bit more concerned if it drops below 1.5, only because I see that as a personal threshold (and it would make it worse than any other time we'd visited).

Psychologically though, the figure dropping does play on your mind though, and does hit the MSE element no matter how insignificant the drop seems! :)

edit: apologies, I don't want to sound blase' about the significance of 4%! Obviously it's money that I'd always prefer in my pocket than 'theirs' (whoever they are ;) ) - hopefully the downward trend will soon fizzle out though!

An update on our Virgin MAN-LAS return flights. I asked a question on their facebook page. This was removed fairly quickly, so I posted the same thing on several of the VA open threads on FB. I also posted on my own wall about it. A day later, I got a FB message apologising that I hadn't been told. A day after that, I got an email telling me of the changes, and asking me to call a customer advisor.

I spoke to them today. They will NOT be offering us a flight back to MAN. My alternatives are all absolute rubbish. We can change our return flight to one that goes back to MAN, and only pay the difference in the fares. We won't need to pay the change fee. WooHoo! We fly out on 24th Oct. The last direct flight to MAN is 27th Oct.

That was the best option, there were a couple of fairly silly ones, and then a full refund. Sadly all the flights have increased since we booked, so it's a no win situation for us.

If we keep the flights they have given us now, we will be stranded in Gatwick by VA and have to make our way home from there. No extra flights will be added to get us back to MAN.

I'm not sure what to do now. Surely the have some sort of obligation to get us back to MAN.

Any suggestions please. I'm very unhappy.:( :(:(
