Well,
72 hours has gone, just rang the Luxor, on hold for 10 mins.....
Lady came back and said just email the promotions department again ?
!!!!!! ?
Think this is gonna be 1 of those moments where i make a trip advisor report about both hotels giving the worst rating before i even go stating there best rate promotion is a crock of s**t!
Only to have the hotel follow up that report saying "email us on the guest relations email addy that we never respond to, etc etc"
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!!!! Boils my p**s when hotels make claims like this, yet give you no option to make them stick to there advert!
May as well email MGM resorts management and see if i can kick up a fussgot nothing to lose, if they dont honor there deal, am cancelling with them anyway!
The above is why I never read tripadvisor if you seriously would give 2 hotels "the worst rating ever" because they didnt respond to an email.
I get that its for their best rate gtee,I also think its hard to get many companies to honour them which is why I rarely use them.
I have tried emailing hotels in vegas in the past and never had a response, only when I have had an email address of host/employee have I got a reply0 -
As Ferf says, would be better to walk over to another hotel like the Westin or I think Platinum is closer (from memory)
Or just walk next door to the 7-11 there are always cabs there
You would be better going to the Westin, it is on the right side of the street for cabs heading back to the strip, Platinum is awful for trying to get a cab from because they don't head away from the strip empty. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Last day in the office before my holibobs, already annoyed one of my colleagues, another 2 to go before they tell me to GO!!! I reckon I'll be away by 11.00.0

Looks like i am changing my hotels, as the customer service, i mean lack of customer service from Excalibur/Luxor means I dont want to stay there.....
To keep within my budget, this idea springs to mind:
Stay 4 Nights in the LVH (22nd May to 26th), being Memorial weekend and all, gonna be rammed so dont need an expensive place...)
Then for the final 6 nights, am currently looking at the Flamingo hotel...
I remember walking through it, but dont recall much about the hotel!
Google shows it has a nice big pool, and i guess checking in on the Sunday means there wont be loads of young kids/yobo's etc there ?
Rooms OK and so on ? (liking the no resort fee thing too!)
Safe to say better to stay in Flamingo than Luxor in terms of quality and pool stuff ? (bigger the pool the better!)0 -
I quite liked the Flamingo - steeped in history.
their long running association with the Osmonds is annoying.
Location is certainly a winner!0 -
just emailed the Flamingo now ahead of booking, to ask if there best rate deal is a crock of s**t like Luxor/excaliburs advertised claim (not in those words!!)
I'm looking to put us in LVH for 4 nights and 6 nights Flamingo....
My pet hate is companies who offer/claim to do X, Y and Z, yet put to the test, only some ever come through, and in my case, the Lux/Excal havent...0 -

Thought you might be lurking somewhere to offer advice about your "local"0 -
Any one done the rock crawlers (jeeps over rocks) it looks fun but expensive.
Even at half price it is still $150 each for an hour, longer trips available and it gets rave reviews on TA
