KLM gets me from Bristol to Amsterdam..
Then its a US Airways flight from Amsterdam to Vegas (via Philly)
I have looked since, and expedia do a flight from Bristol to vegas using the same planes as i booked, as said, wish i would have checked that option first! doh!
and yeah, reason we are flying from Amsterdam is, at the time of booking, any flight with hotel to Vegas was avg £830
Doing the amsterdam route got the deal for £700 (and ironically 9 days after i booked, could fly from london for £700, grrrrrrrrrrrrrr !)
oh well!0 -

Not sure what the answer is as you havent booked a through ticket. I would be worried as you will have to wait for baggage to come off and then get to check in for next flight, as I said Amsterdam is HUGE and you have very little time to play with, given that you only have 2 hours even if you land on time.
You most likely will arrive on time though as most flights have a a longer flying time to amsterdam than is actually needed BUT it is a very long taxi from runway to terminal, it can be as long as 15/20 minutes0 -

It also tends to be quite busy as well and I spotted some real characters in there!
I didn't find anything cheaper than $4 min on the strip for single table roulette.
there are very few single zero tables and if you can find one cntre strip the minimum is likely to be $25. the ones at Strat and Riviera are $10 (or they were).
The casino royale minimum is $4 (i think ) but it isn single zero, and yes it is very smoky and a little dirty in there0 -

there was $3 or $4 roulette at circus circus i think (on a saturday no less) but i prefered casino royale.
you are correct to say the minimum is $4. ($3 craps)
el cortez does 25cent roulette downtown!
we had a fun dealer at casino royale, i like it there.0 -
cheers for the info, added to my notes !
Seen Casino quite a few times, that and Goodfella's = Top movies!
Asked about check-in stuff, as i booked a flight(s) which have created a bit of panic for myself after i booked!
IE: We fly from Bristol with KLM to Amsterdam, lands on average between 8:30 to 8:45.
Then have another flight booked with US Airways to Vegas at 10:50...
So from landing, waiting for bus to terminal, then through customs/immigration or whatever it is, then collect bags, then queue to drop bags off with US Airways, just makes me think if i get to bag drop with 1hr to go, we should be ok i hope!
You "should" be OK time wise but that's a worrying word as far as I'm concerned. Naturally pesamistic as I am I'd likely speak to KLM and look at options to change that flight to the night before and stay in Amsterdam. KLM are usually pretty good but there may be a fee.
All of that said though the only real problems I've had with early morning flights into Amsterdam on KLM (and I've taken a lot in the last 2 years) is caused by fog and if that happens all outbound flights tend to be delayed as well.0 -
I've been back 3 days and just posting here has me wanting to go back.
If only it was a short haul flight away...0 -

I like you would want to be arriving at Amsterdam earlier than Stuie has planned for.
Tried to find the closing time for check in at Schipol for US airways, but not having much luck it looks to be 60 mins, in which case only an hour to play with,0 -

i usually stay off here for a while on my return, its to depressing0 -
your right about the 60 mins for US Airways....
I can check-in online, so only really the bag drop i would need to do in Amsterdam with US Airways....
I've checked everyday the arrival flight time of the plane i will use from bristol to AMS, and so far, its arrived as early as 8:15 upto 8:45 latest....
But i guess the arrival time is when the wheels touch the ground, not when the plane parks!!!
I didnt realise AMS is the 4th largest airport in the world, luckily it has only 1 terminal!
It is risky i guess, in essence, having only 1hr (or 1hr 20 mins) from landing, collecting at getting to the bag drop! I do book some daft things!0
