Hi, going in August , 1 week in LA area and 2 weeks Vegas, I need somewhere with a washing machine as I think we will run out of clothes, or maybe someone knows of a laundrette near to the strip.
Thanks
We like the Carriage House which has laundry facilities on every floor except the 9th.
If you don't mind hotel hopping, you could stay there for a couple of days at the beginning of your stay and a couple of days at the end and stay somewhere cheaper in between.
We always have a one bedroom suite there, but even the deluxe rooms have kitchenettes.
Most of the rooms have just been refurbished.0 -

We will definitely need to try harder to meet this time.
It is Virgin 747 from gatwick.
Yes will have to try0 -
I gather you would rather sit in a row further forward?
It is an upgraded 747 and there is 4 rows of 2 each side and all still available

it is a tough one...I always forget about the touch screen stabbers so agree that would be a benefit of no one behind you...and we don't normally recline much, though if we had the back row then we would probably take advantage if we could...as for those that grab your headrest (drives me nuts) it may be offset by those who use the back of your seat to rest on while waiting for the loos. I can see pluses and minuses of both...I have conferred with my husband and he thinks we would go with the first or second set of the pairs - if they are like the old layout, those seemed to have a bit more space at the side, between the seat and the window so seemed a bit less crammed in.
But it's all personal preference of course. Getting a pair is a big win I think so congrats for that!Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
I'm having a number of dilemmas for our trip... (not dilemmas on a large scale, but dilemmas none the less
)
First up - buffets:
Is anyone planning on doing (or have already done) the 'new' Aria buffet?
We've booked a couple of cheapo nights @ NYNY on their '2 free buffets' offer, and we can redeem at any buffet for up to $xx ($33 I think?)
Was thinking about the new Aria buffet but it seems to get mixed reviews (but a lot of that is based around price from what I can gather).
Secondly:
Aria or Vdara?
Looking at a final '3 nights' treat, preferably with a jacuzzi and we thought we'd try one of the above. Any opinions... Aria is around $100 (total) more than Vdara
... or do I do the Mirage Deluxe Tower Suite which comes in somewhere in the middle pricewisedecisions

This may have already been posted but I dont take much notice of Manchester routes but Virgin are not flying from manchester after october this year through to march next year and then it is up for review .
Anyone who has a current booking after October is being rescheduled from Gatwick0 -

we certainly liked the old Aria buffet, especially for breakfast and definitely looking forward to trying the new one. though it'd have to go some to be better than the Cosmopolitan or Caesars, they were both very impressive.
aria/vdara - vdara will offer you a quieter, more boutique feel... but is still only a 60sec stroll from Aria and the casino. i don't think any vdara rooms have an in-room hot-tub/jacuzzi (unless any of the top suites do).0 -
