I cant seem to find direct flights for the 2 potential weeks i want to go. (Commencing the 9th and 23rd Nov)

The Venetian and The Bellagio seem to only get marked down for having dated room. Whereas as the newer hotels seem to have better rooms but other faults. (Service etc)

Some people find problems with everything though and i am not one of those people.

Where are you flying from? There are non-stop flights from LHR with BA and LGW with Virgin.

Forget the reviews on TA. I've seen a 5* hotel on there slated because there was no-one to hold the door open when they arrived. You will get far better opinions if you ask here as we have been to most of the hotels between us.

It's a long time since we stayed at the Venetian and the Palazzo, but liked both. Dated rooms usually means they haven't been refurbished in the past 1-2 years and there's nothing actually wrong with them. All the Bellagio rooms have been refurbished in the past year and are looking really nice. However the only rooms worth having there are the lake view rooms which are an extra $50 a night.

I can highly recommend the Cosmopolitan with a terrace. They start with the studio terrace and you need to get a premium view room to have a view of the Bellagio fountains.

Kayak is your friend for flight options, just check the connection times as some are not a lot more than non-stop. I would choose BA over Air France any day if there wasn't much difference in price.

So, two weeks today we'll be half way to LA for our mini roadtrip primarily based around LV.

We've got hotels for all but the last two nights (I think i'm going to book something a few days before we get to the last few nights in LA).

I've still got the MGM Grand as our hotel, although I am watching the prices change on LCUSA and if the right deal comes up we'll swap to something cheaper...

But for now I need help spending my virtual money

We've been playing MyVegas daily for a while now, grabbing chips and coins where we can. Between the two of us we now have 100,000 LP's each to spend - problem is, no rooms available for the dates we're there, so we need to find as much other stuff to spend them on that we can.

Not so keen on stuff where you still have to spend a good chunk of change to get things, but please help me spend my LP's on good stuff.

    Any suggestions :) ?

I live just outside of Liverpool so it would be Manchester. It would make a trip to LHR for a direct flight about a combined cost of £550 extra than one stop flights.

Also, ive read lots here on people playing games online for what i assume are benefits in Las Vegas and by the looks of it you need FB and Twitter. Can anyone explain this to me and is it likely i can get anything decent wit a month to go?

Going MAN-LHR-LAS with BA should add on £80-100 per person.

It can take a long time and a lot of play to earn anything worth having on MyVegas. I think Social Rewards would be easier and may get you £10-20 in a month.

There are no direct flights from MAN, that's why you cant find any :)

The time it would take you to transfer down to LON based airports means it simply isn't worth you avoiding a single stop as you wont actually save time.

The problem you have is the cheaper tickets are all 2 stopping on the way back - ticket prices seem to be around £595-£600 unless you want a mind numbingly long return journey time - additionally I am noticing better options to fly returning on the Saturday instead of the usual Friday... (week of 9th)

As for games to play you have Total Rewards and you have MyVegas, but with a month to go no, I wouldn't get too involved to be honest...

It really depends on what you want to use the points for, what has value to you...shows or food are the main options if rooms are out and with 100k each you could do any number of combination...depending on what you wanted to do you could get a show ticket each and a higher-points dinner buffet...or two show tickets...or a show ticket and a couple of lunch/brunch buffets...just depends on what appeals to you. We put the options we were interested in in a spreadsheet to try different combinations to see which was the best value for us given that we could each only redeem 3 of the normal rewards (and given my hubby had way more points than I did so could get pairs of tickets and use only one of his 3 and none of mine, vs each of us redeeming for one ticket).
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Im trying to understand this three item thing, it doesn't seem apply to rooms, but it seems to apply to certain items, just not sure which. I did discover we could get one night comped if I earn another 25,000 but theres no guarantee we wouldnt have to change rooms.

Tbh I cant be bothered with that, I think we will use them for buffets, we have all our show tickets - so its probably best on food/drink/buffets I guess, but are we limited to three from each of our 100k?

I went via Frankfurt with Condor when I had to get home quickly because my mum died. It was last minute, and was far cheaper than most of the other options. They fly Sunday and Thursday. Not sure if that's all year round though. It may be worth looking into.
