I came here looking for some advice a short while back and said i would go away and do some research.

I did, and now i am even more confused.

I know some of you love looking in to Vegas, could anyone:

    A) Recommend a holiday planning site/individual who doesn't cost a fortune.
    B) Help me out if i gave dates and a budget?

Simple advice for a first timer ......Best place to stay for a first time visit is ON the Strip as central as possible Harrahs is a good mid price choice as an example.

Put your dates into the flight checker at https://www.kayak.co.uk and see what prices come up

then cost hotels you like the look of using https://www.cheapervegas.com
(bear in mind that Friday and Saturday nights cost at least double Sunday to Thursday nights )

Once you know if your budget works - and you have a rough plan ...pop back with your questions :)

Someone on the weddings board challenged me to cost a holiday to Vegas with a wedding included with a budget of £2K. :)

One of the pieces of advice I gave was book your flight at £515 its unlikely you will get it for less.

what are your dates and what is your budget

My budget for 2 flights and a hotel for 1 week including resort fees is £2,000.

I can go for a week commencing the 9th November or the 23rd November.

I wouldn't mind doing the majority of the stay at one hotel and then a night or two somewhere else. A suite if the budget allows.

If someone can help me on this i will be eternally grateful. I didn't take the flights at £515 as i couldn't book at the time. They are £530 now.

If your budget is £2000 for one week for flights and hotel that brings just about every hotel in Vegas in to the equation

That's more than my budget for 2 weeks!.

Honestly with that budget book wherever you want to go rather than be governed by moneysaving.

Venetian/palazzo would be a good place to start. I have just priced up 7 nights there from 23rd (it was an email offer so not 100% sure it is available to everyone) $1100 inc resort fees about £750 and with your £530 flights would be about £1800 in total for one of the best hotels in Vegas

    Thanks photome.

I'm thinking the Venetian is a must and my girlfriend, for whom his is a surprise, would love it.

What I am undecided on is what part of the stay it will occupy. It might be cheaper to do the first 5 nights at the Venetian and then the Friday and the Saturday that would occupy the 29th and 30th I might get a suite. Cheaper than if booked the Saturday I arrive if that makes sense.

The reason I am allowing this budget is because it's my first time and I suspect future trips i will be a bit smarter about when and where I stay.

Venetian is all suites. Don't book Venetian for 5 days than move downmarket for two days. Do the other way round if you need to i.e. end with the best rooms/hotel.
