    Hi

I have travelled all over, both working abroad and holidaying by myself in the last years

I would love to travel to Las Vegas and catch Matt Goss plus see the sights.

I am bit apprehensive about going as a lone female though. Can anyone recommend any solo tours or groups that meet up there?

Any other females who have travelled solo, you are welcome to share too.

I'll share I've done a few supposedly solo trips where I've met friends out there but done a day or two at the beginning or end solo.

Whenever Matt is in residence there's usually a hardcore of fans from the UK around so you'd not be the only non couple there by any means. (I'm not a fan - my interests lie elsewhere on the Strip but I've come across them :) ) His website probably has a forum where you could possibly hook up with other fans who will be there at the same time if you wanted.

No-one bats an eyelid at a lone female in Vegas and so long as you stay in the main drag areas it is perfectly safe. Ceasars itself or the Flamingo (right opp CP so easy for your visit to the show) would be perfect places to stay.
As a lot of couples who go to Vegas have different interests golf, different casino games, shopping , pool etc who do their things seperately you'll see lots of other solo holidaymakers around and the English accent still slays the Americans and they just *have* to talk to you when they hear the accent LOL. (Be prepared to be asked if you are Australian though :D)

I'd guess someone like Solos might do an organized tour from the UK but it'd be much more expensive -as you've traveled independently before I think you'd be fine.

He's really nice - very grounded as is his brother Paul (I actually prefer Jonathan IRL to his cocky TV persona) however changed the photo to something a tad more Vegas-y now.

Hi guys, used this board to help book my 2011 trip and now we're going back for second helpings. It's much more expensive now, we got the lot for less than our flights cost this time.
So I'm having a few issues unable to choose a hotel and my dh is no help!
Looking to spend 3-400 for 5 nights 28/3 to 2/4 have tried smarter vegas, mlife etc.
base level I can get Luxor £263, flamingo £355, NYNY £310, Monte Carlo £271, MGM £378.
Decent room it's NYNY £380, flamingo £410 and vdara £394.
    Thoughts/ideas?
    Thanks

I should mention that all of these include resort fees.

Well we don't know you or what you plan to do in Vegas
Where did you stay last time ? What did you like/not like about it ?
What sort of things do you plan to do
Is a really good pool important or will you be so busy doing other stuff a "ordinary"one is fine
Do you want a casino hotel especially ?

We couldn't get over how much the prices for flight etc had gone up as well, but I guess it had been seven ears since we were last there. Even though this will be our fifth time, I'm wondering if we're going to feel like newbies again, or if it'll all just fit into place!

Out of all the hotels you've listed above, I think the vdara is meant to be the nicest, although I'm totally ignorant on this one, because that wasn't there last time we were there, so I've ever been, but it doesn't have a casino, so it depends how important that is to you. Out of the ones I do know, I would pick the Flamino, purely because the other ones just don't appeal to me. The rooms at the Flamingo look really nice now, and the newly refurbished rooms have a lovely view and it's a good location.

Those things would've been helpful! Apologies its that Monday morning feeling.

Last time we stayed at NYNY had a skyline booked with our package and the check in clerk kindly gave us a Madison Avenue room with a strip view. Lovely good sized room with a great view. Think it's spoilt us!
We're a couple in our late twenties, not ones for staying out and partying the night away.
We'll do three days strolling up and down the strip taking everything in and playing a few slots as we go but not big gamblers so casino in house is not essential. For the last two days we will have a car to do a lot of shopping and then can drive ourselves back to the airport.
An OK pool would be fine, it was too cold last time (nov) so didn't try it out and easily filled 5 days.

The flight prices were really high this time although it is a different time of year. I've been watching sky scanner for a few months and its been £560 indirect and £660 direct.
I got a miles plus money for £575 direct which I was happy with. Normal fares went down to £600 for the first time in months the next day. I'm still pretty happy though.

First time it was £550 indirect with flights and 5 nights at NyNy.
