Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Bellagio had 'champagne', heineken, margaritas (I think) and bloody marys (I think). You had to choose one of those, then it was unlimited amounts of your choice. You can't switch drinks. Drinks bump is $10 and available on all meals.

Sounds pretty tempting! Will probs toss up between that and Wicked Spoon as they are similar prices.

Hi guys, used this board to help book my 2011 trip and now we're going back for second helpings. It's much more expensive now, we got the lot for less than our flights cost this time.
So I'm having a few issues unable to choose a hotel and my dh is no help!
Looking to spend 3-400 for 5 nights 28/3 to 2/4 have tried smarter vegas, mlife etc.
base level I can get Luxor £263, flamingo £355, NYNY £310, Monte Carlo £271, MGM £378.
Decent room it's NYNY £380, flamingo £410 and vdara £394.
    Thoughts/ideas?
    Thanks

As we are complete cheapskates we have booked Americas Best Value Inn & Suites opposite the MGM grand/ Monorail station for £24 a night, has pool & jacuzzi & no resort fees, hey why pay more :)

For about the same money or perhaps less you could stay on the strip.(Maybe not for a fri and sat)

Quad, harrahs, Flamingo but the resort fee may just tip them over.

    Circus circus

or off strip at Gold Coast or Orleans

Staying somewhere nice is part of the trip for us. Although we'll be out most of the time we often pop back to the room to chill out for an hour or two pre dinner and that's when it's worth it.
For £25 per night we could've had stratosphere or riviera but I'd rather be mid strip and decent room.

You'll have more money for fun stuff though!

Because there are far nicer choices both on and off Strip ...... for the $47 a night you are paying !

$29 a night at the Orleans springs to mind ... America's Best Value is a motel not a hotel.

If all you want is bed and a basic pool it ticks the boxes but you may find the cost of cabs back at night for safety (it's a bit off the main drag ) add up a bit.

Check out https://www.smartervegas.com prices at the Luxor start at $30 (not pounds) and Ballys at $35 or the Flamingo at $25 obviously we don't know your dates but it's very possible you can get a better deal on Strip for the same money or less.

Indeed why pay more for off Strip or fewer facilities ;)

I had to google it to see where it was, and while I commend you on your money saving ways, there's no way I could stop there....sorry! I don't think I'd feel safe. Do you walk to the strip and back from there or get a taxi?

It's very much Motel 6 type property
Whilst I have absolutely no problem with staying off Strip and often choose to do so I think for the money there are better located (and safer) options with more facilities than this one for the same money.

  • I stayed at America's Best Value Inn on the Saturday night of my latest trip before moving over the road to MGM Grand...it was really OK. The pool was fantastic, it was £20 a night, ice machine, air conditioning. Right next to a liquor store and good, cheap diner. And only a few minutes walk to the MGM/NYNY/Excalibur/Trop junction.

I know it's a bit seedy for some people's tastes but I thought it was perfectly OK.
