Hi guys, used this board to help book my 2011 trip and now we're going back for second helpings. It's much more expensive now, we got the lot for less than our flights cost this time.
So I'm having a few issues unable to choose a hotel and my dh is no help!
Looking to spend 3-400 for 5 nights 28/3 to 2/4 have tried smarter vegas, mlife etc.
base level I can get Luxor £263, flamingo £355, NYNY £310, Monte Carlo £271, MGM £378.
Decent room it's NYNY £380, flamingo £410 and vdara £394.
Thoughts/ideas?
Thanks
Of those you mention I've stayed MGM and Monte Carlo. I wouldn't go for MC but I had no issue with MGM. Some people think it's too big and too far to walk from rooms. For me it was OK - I was early 30s when staying here so late 20s I'd say you were fine assuming no health issues.
If it were me (and it will be soon because we are booked 27th Mar - 5th April but I haven't sorted hotels yet) I'd go with Vdara from those choices. There are some on here who love it, our current fav is Cosmopolitan and I suspect it's similar (minus the casino).0 -

Thanks for this, think I'm leaning towards the vdara as its the best room for the money and mid strip. Not too bothered about the walk through aria/bellagio.
I wish we could stay at the Cosmo but its way out of the budget. I will have to make do with dinner at the wicked spoon and staring longingly from my window!0 -

i'm one of the vdara fan club (4th time on the horizon!) and the walk to bellagio is nothing at all (5min indoor stroll to the casino) and the Aria casino is literally a stone's throw away, no different really to having a room at one of the larger hotels, where the room/tower is a bit of a journey from the casino floor.0 -

I'm embarrassed to ask this because I know it has been discussed before but I cannot find the post.
On My Vegas - redemption limited to any 3 rewards within a rolling 30 day period.
Both my hubby and I have used some points for show tickets which now show in the 'redeemed' section.,..our food vouchers show in the 'purchased' section.
So does this mean that you could in theory (and for now ignoring the monorail, Wolfgang Pucks, House of Blues and Sugar Factory) effectively use more than 3 rewards in a 30 day period (so during a trip for most of us)...if some of those rewards were show tickets where we've called up and booked using the code on our rewards - have they transferred to the redeemed category...so if we redeemed them say 2 months before our trip.
I may not be explaining my question very well but hopefully enough that it's understandable.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The 30 day period starts when you redeem the first reward in person, by picking up the show tickets, or by checking in , if its a hotel room reward0

thanks penny - I think that's what I originally thought but then reading the terms and how things are categorized on the site it confused me and I wondered if I was missing something.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

From your list, both NYNY and MC have building work out front but not as bad as Flamingo, that is surrounded by work inc knocking Bills down, lots of noise and quite bad getting in & out of the car park.
I would go with VdaraTotally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -
Looking to see Le Reve at the Wynn this time - travelling in just over a week. Does anyone know of any promotions at the moment? I missed the TravelZoo promo a few weeks ago as it was only valid for dates to the end of Sept.0
