Depends on where you stay whether you will need to park or not. Have you considered a hotel that has a shuttle - Orleans, Gold Coast, Rio etc.

Well we have a car booked for the duration already - with the day tour to the GC being decided on it means that we won't be over east which is where we were going to head south from.

We're just trying to figure out if we stay in LV for an extra day or two or we head down to Palm Springs for a few days and 'do' San Diego from there...

The number of decisions involve here is far too much effort for a weekend.

I was about to post the same and I have used them for the GN earlier this year.

It does seem that some hotels have been paid if the booking was prepaid for so I am sure you are OK, if the hotel hadnt been paidI dont think they would have checked you in
yeah, and they did confirm we were prepaid (I always check on check in anyways) - gonna fill my face with the free breakfast ASAP just in case ;)
can i ask when did you book your hotel?

i booked a hotel in croatia back in may and am due to fly out there in 3 weeks time but currently i dont know what position we are in whether the hotel has received payment from navelar / clever-hotels or not :/

the hotel are currently looking in to it for me as i can not get hold of clever hotels
we booked in Dec / Jan - I'm hoping i've been very lucky (as Photome says) and they received payment - we did book via. CC so the money isn't an issue but its one of those things where you could do without the hassle! - I'd be surprised if payment was sent directly from Navalar to the hotel though when you book it - i expect its more likely to occur xx amount of days before you arrive - hope i'm wrong though in your case and it all works out nicely for you (or you manage to sort it all out  )

Right, this is the last post from me (just wanted to bore you all with more trauma in my life, and give you a heads up on the Navalar / Clever-Hotels thing :D )

the wife shouts at me for using the internet whilst we're on holiday...so see you all in a few weeks :D

Has anyone seen the show 'the Rat Pack is Back'??
My boyfriend loves all that swing, rat pack type music and is desperate to see something that has it but I've never heard this show mentioned on here. It has mixed reviews on Trip Advisor - don't they all!!!

I haven't but if you like all the rat pack/swing type music why not go and see Matt Goss at the Gossy Room in Caesars. I've seen him 3 times there, brilliant show. He used to be in Bros incase you didn't know!!!!

We went to LV last and wished we had arranged to hand the car park before our LV stay. 4 days rental and we only used it once. Taxi to the airport at the end would have been cheaper.

we're exactly the opposite - while we do sometimes leave the car parked for a full day without touching it, we like to know it's there when we want it...depending on total rental periods it can cost about the same for a week as for 4-5 days so just depends on individual circumstances whether's it worth it.

nvh - glad it seems to be working out OK for you - agree it's the sort of thing you could do without having to worry about. Hope you are enjoying Chicago...we go most years but have still not managed to see 'the bean'. :)

Thats fine, if you rented from LV, but renting from LA and returning to LV has a one way fee, thats more than renting it the additional days we're there for :)

most car hire agencies have no one-way fee between California to Nevada.

  • Hi Everyone,

We are going on honeymoon to California and finishing off with 5 nights in Vegas. I haven't been since I was 11 so a lot has changed since then no doubt. We go on the 9th September. We are staying in the Venetian.

Can anyone help with restaurants? We would like to go to one really really nice restaurant but can't decide where. We would also like to try one buffet and the rest not too bothered on but suggestions would help. Not anything particular but not Indian and nothing spicy?

The Vegas part of our honeymoon we just want to really relax so mainly just sitting by the pool. We would like to do some shopping though so where's the best place to go for bargains, we wear a lot of abercrombie, victoria secret, guess, Levi's etc?

So excited now. If anyone has any tips for anything would be great. Especially any vouchers.

    Thanks.

We're going on our honeymoon at the end of September, and have been doing a lot of research on different places to eat, things to do etc. We've decided the Wicked Spoon buffet in the Cosmopolition seems to be one of the best. We might try the Spice Market buffet in our hotel (Planet Hollywood), although I've heard that it doesn't match up to all the hype, so we'll see.

I also love Italian food, so will be trying the Italian (forgot its name?) in the Fashion Show Mall, we also fancy trying Nine Fine Irishmen in NYNY as I really fancy trying their Irish Stew!

For a Restuarant with an awesome view, maybe give the Top of the World Restuarant at the Stratosphere, it's a revolving restaurant with awesome views of the city!

Regards the shopping, we love A&F etc too, and love the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace for them, I think there is also an A&F in the Fashion Show Mall too. I'm not sure about the outlet villages, they've probably got them too? We've never been, but I'm sure some of the others would know a lot more about them. :)
