Hi,
I was wondering if you fine people could help us? We fly to Las Vegas on Weds 4th Sept (yey us!). We already have our first night booked at the Gold Coast. We have stayed there a few times before and it is more than what we need for our first night to just crash out. We then have a road trip planned and are spending 3 nights in Vegas on our return from Sun 22nd Sept to Weds 25th. We are struggling with finding a decent rate on a hotel for these 3 nights....
We have been looking at the higher end hotels (Pallazo, Cosmo, Bellagio, Aria, Vdara etc) but can't find anything really for less than £175 a night. I have looked at all the pages listed on the first page of this thread....with no success...
Reading the thread it seems many of you get much better rates than this at these hotels...?
Any help or ideas really appreciated.
Thank you.
I was going to say, try smartvegas.com, but I've just looked and I don't seem to be able to find anything for those hotels for the price you mentioned above, I might have missed something though. Shame you weren't there earlier, because up until about the 18th Sept, the Pallazo have luxury suites on offer for $149 per night!0 -
Well we moved our dates to avoid the Friday and Saturday night due to the cost. The Sunday seems ok but then the Monday and Tuesday prices nearly double!0

We just read about that the other day, and realised that if we were arriving a few days earlier, then we'd get to see Queen....I'm a big Queen fan and would have loved to see them!0 -

If it makes you feel any better they sell out very quickly - they would have been sold out by the time you read about it...and the resale market is not cheap either.

We were there a couple of years ago when this festival was on and like you read about it and thought 'hey, we would like to go to that'...and did some searching and it seems pretty much you'd have to be online buying tickets in the minutes after they went on sale (or win them) to have a chance at getting tickets for something other than a crazy price.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I'm not sure it would do it - but the Global Gaming Expo is in town those dates...there's also a 26k attendee convention immediately before and Mr Olympia for 30k after...so the combination of these and the iHeart festival are probably contributing to higher rates for the period.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I don't think you have to book for the Wicked Spoon?
No you don't.
In regard to earlier post on selecting wicked spoon I would recommend it having ate there a lot, and eaten a lot there!
However, I would say that the Wynn and Ceasars are better. Of course that doesn't factor in price.0 -

We are going on honeymoon to California and finishing off with 5 nights in Vegas. I haven't been since I was 11 so a lot has changed since then no doubt. We go on the 9th September. We are staying in the Venetian.
Can anyone help with restaurants? We would like to go to one really really nice restaurant but can't decide where. We would also like to try one buffet and the rest not too bothered on but suggestions would help. Not anything particular but not Indian and nothing spicy?
The Vegas part of our honeymoon we just want to really relax so mainly just sitting by the pool. We would like to do some shopping though so where's the best place to go for bargains, we wear a lot of abercrombie, victoria secret, guess, Levi's etc?
So excited now. If anyone has any tips for anything would be great. Especially any vouchers.
Thanks.
For our "really nice restaurant" we've booked at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill in Caesar's palace. http://http://www.mesagrill.com/las-vegas-restaurant/
Looks to be a really interesting fusion of grills with Southwetern trimmings.0 -
Thanks for your help.
We like the look of the Eiffel Tower restaurant. Has anyone been there? The views look amazing.
We still have Alize and Gordan Ramsey on the list. To many to chose from.0 -

Looks like an expensive time to go
What abiout the Platinum with booking.com at £298 for the 3 nights ? maybe not top end and slightly of the strip but for that it's a 1 bed suite or Vdara at £485 excl resort fee
Lowcost USA has Trump hotel from £273 inc resort fee ot Cosmopolitan for £466 or Caesars from £388.0 -

That does make me feel better! It would have eaten a huge chunk into our budget, I wouldn't have wanted to pay that much.
