Morning all....
One thing I remember seeing on my way back from Red Rock was a bunch of nice cars....... all had banners on the window, so I remember checking them out in Vegas, but turned out couldn't book it in as didn't have the time left when we were there, but I (we) are defo doing it next year...
Cars, like your cars ? got a few quid spare ?
http://www.worldclassdriving.com/drive-exotic-las-vegas/redrock-muscle-xl
They do the boring cars like Lambo's and Ferrari's, etc, but figured muscle cars would be a good way to go!!!
1 driver + passenger = $500 , but unsure if that includes insurance for us Brits......
Only reason I am posting this, is because it just sprung to mind! Oh and because I just booked the Corvette with Hertz.co.uk for 4 days, using that to drive to LA for the 2 days..... (I hope these cars can take 2 suitcases + 2 mini cases!)
£410 its cost me for the car, not cheap, but I do plan on doing probably 800 - 900 miles in it!0 -
Wife is on the mend and whilst not fully healed, it looks like we will now be going to Vegas (less than a week now until our trip to Chicago so will be there in around 2 weeks), I've just got to sort out some travel insurance to cover the new 'conditions' (aka. how to quickly lose £250), so, random question...
Does anyone know of anywhere we can pick up a frame whilst in Vegas, that could be used to display numerous poker chips we have collected? They seem a bit more common in USA than here, and assume a souvenir shop may do it but has anyone seen them anywhere? - something a bit like this but Vegas orientated: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HARLEY-DAVIDSON-26-SLOT-POKER-CHIP-COLLECTORS-FRAME-6927D-NEW-/290961333617?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43bea59d71
Cheers
(oh, by the way, I've had a Groupon email stating Paris buffet for lunch / tea is now on sale - just in case its of any use to anyone! - http://www.groupon.com/deals/le-village-buffet-at-paris-las-vegas-las-vegas-1 )0 -
I've seen a day trip from Vegas which I fancy.
Vegas2Hollywood - long day but you get to see the highlights of LA.
I can't decide if its going to be easier to hire a car / fly and organise myself though. Has anyone done a trip to LA whilst in Vegas?0 -

I may be mistaken...but that seems like the site that had a Mon Ami Gabi $50 voucher for $25 a few years ago...I think it was Luci that posted it and we used it for breakfast...then it seemed like the site sort of stopped having anything of any interest.
Maybe it is that one and it's more active again or maybe I am making stuff up...but always good to have another resource.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Yes, they don't have much choice really0 -
Looking at my old bookmarks the one I was thinking of was cbsvegasdining.
It can never hurt to have another place to check though - you never know what might crop up.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Had thought about Vegas! The Show - anyone seen it? Or we might see Legends again. It's one of those shows you can keep going back to.
I think Big Al's has been moved to the Gold Coast now. There is an art installation of some sort coming to the area where Big Al's was.0 -
nvh, glad your wife is on the mend.
Have you thought of looking in the Gamblers General Store on Main St, Downtown? They might have what you want, or be able to point you in the right direction.
Is THIS what you mean?0
