Thanks! It was late at night when I posted that, and I just never thought to just read the front page! :D That's the zip code I put in, but when it just came up states, I wasn't sure if it was ok for UK citizens....but now I know!

ETA: Can you use more than one voucher at a time, and pay all in vouchers?

Do you mean pay for purchases on R.com with gift vouchers, if so I am not sure but I guess so.

Or do you mean pay at the restaurants with more than one voucher , if so no you cant.

Be careful about buying to many R.com vouchers (althoogh of course it wont cost you much) I have loads that I will prob never use,as there are always other options when i am there.

    .

I was going to buy 4 $25 vouchers and just use them all at one sitting, as we'd probably only be going to the Top of the World Restuarant once.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, I thought it sounded to good to be true!

I've seen a day trip from Vegas which I fancy.

Vegas2Hollywood - long day but you get to see the highlights of LA.

I can't decide if its going to be easier to hire a car / fly and organise myself though. Has anyone done a trip to LA whilst in Vegas?
It will take you about 5 hours to drive, but unless you are pretty confident with big roads I wouldn't recommend it. When you get to LA you then have to head off the freeway and find the stuff you want yourself, not as easy as it seems, not as small as Vegas so everything you want to do is spread out. If sightseeing is the objective then the coach trip sounds OK.

I must admit we found it quite boring, never found the good spot to see the Hollywood sign, Hollywood Blvd. is the scuzziest place on this earth. There are guys standing on street corners selling maps of famous peoples houses in Belair but we thought they might be a rip off so didn't bother.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

T and C are different for all restaurants and all vouchers. looks like a minimum purchase tof $37.5 to use a $25 voucher at Top of the World which is pretty good it is often double the voucher value.

Never known anywhere that will accept more than one voucher per group/table though

I have driven between the 2 many times, would I do a return trip in a day, not a chance.

As Stoneman says it can take 5 hours (or more each way).

If you really want to go to LA IMO its best to fly into or out of LA spending a couple of nights there before or after a Vegas trip

There is so much information about Vegas I am finding it hard to assimilate it... My brain is getting confused..
Anyway, so far I have given Our Jo . The planning of New York. I have given Andy the planning of San Francisco.
I know I want to stay on the strip. I know I want to do the bellagio for at least 1 night.....
But my head is a mess.. Can someone give me an on strip hotel, mid range, hotel. The choice is too much.. . Also do I book it now or wait a while.. I am getting confused x

You will get different answers from different people.

    I will kick off

    Mirage

Book it when you see a price you like, possibly on their own website so it is fully cancellable for free

Thanks, I will prob follow your lead..
I am getting confused with too much information...
    I
Because Vegas is my part of the bargain.. I am going to go on recommendation.
I want to stay mid priced hotels on the strip ... I want to change to bellagio on the last night or 2.. Because I am hoping to get married.
The getting married may still not happen.. Because my partner isn't keen... I just want to make sure our legacy is to our children. I don't want either of us to meet people in later life, and sell our families down the river.. I think that's fair?

Make sure the night you want to stay at the Bellagio isn't a Friday or Saturday, and sometimes a Thursday. The prices will make your eyes water.

You also need to decided whether you want a fountain view room as these are usually $50 extra. We just asked nicely at check in and the clerk said, "No problem" so we tipped him.

The rooms have recently been refurbished and are nice, but a fountain view would make a huge difference, otherwise it would feel like you were staying anywhere.

For a mid-range hotel I would suggest the MGM, where the rooms were refurbished last year, or Paris. The rooms in the MGM are bigger.
