I've visited MGM many times and wouldn't stay there -it's just too vast and busy for my tastes......but then I've never had the urge to stay at Bellagio either but I'd stay at Ceasars Palace in the Augustus Tower overlooking the fountains in a heartbeat.
If hower you like the look of MGM or the Mirage why not try and get a free night there playing MyVegas on facebook ? (or even two nights if bothof you play) and use the money you save towards your blow out night (personally rather than Bellagio I'd go for a suite with Balcony with a strip view at the Cosmo if you want a wow factor room.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

We were looking at those rooms in the Cosmo on YouTube, and both the rooms and the view is amazing!! I love the idea of having your own balcony and going on there at night with a few drinks and looking over the Bellagio Fountains! I wish we'd researched better, instead of just jumping straight in and booking PH just because we'd been there twice before when it was the Aladdin.0 -
Make sure the night you want to stay at the Bellagio isn't a Friday or Saturday, and sometimes a Thursday. The prices will make your eyes water.
You also need to decided whether you want a fountain view room as these are usually $50 extra. We just asked nicely at check in and the clerk said, "No problem" so we tipped him.
The rooms have recently been refurbished and are nice, but a fountain view would make a huge difference, otherwise it would feel like you were staying anywhere.
For a mid-range hotel I would suggest the MGM, where the rooms were refurbished last year, or Paris. The rooms in the MGM are bigger.
Right so should I book now, or wait a while..
I think it's the 2nd July 2014 that is our last night..
Think it is a Thursday .0 -

Because I am hoping to get married.
The getting married may still not happen.. Because my partner isn't keen... I just want to make sure our legacy is to our children. I don't want either of us to meet people in later life, and sell our families down the river.. I think that's fair?
You can sort out your legacy in your will. If something happened to you, your partner can meet someone else whether he had married you or not. In fact if he faced being single at a relatively young age, you would want him to be happy again rather than have 30 years of misery, wouldn't you?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. As I mentioned earlier, we have stayed in a Grand King several times and the only difference is that a Queen has 2 x 5ft beds compared to 1 x 6ft bed.
Our most recent stay was in May and I am sure you will be more than happy with the room. They have very recently started charging a bit extra for a view, however you may strike lucky at check in.
Also the MGM are not noted for even offering an upgrade, free or otherwise. You could ask at check in as they were offering upgrades to a suite for an extra $30 / night for a while.
I'd be made up with an upgrade like that for $30 a night - although I don't expect it as we're checking in on a Friday so they'll likely be busy0 -

The first time we visited the MGM we just stood at the top of the stairs at the entrance opposite NYNY and it was so vast we didn't venture any further. However we found that once we actually stayed there that made it far easier to navigate and I have never been put off with the size of it since.
I second a room with a terrace and fountain view at Cosmo. We loved it and you have a full view of the fountains. You may be looking directly at the fountains if you stay at the Bellagio, but the window is relatively small compared to some.0 -

Have you booked direct with the hotel or via a third party? If direct then you can cancel up to 72 hours before arrival and get your deposit back.0
