I made a massive school girl error last night
I showed him this forum, because I was so excited about the hints and tips and wealth of knowledge.
So he obviously read my OP:o
His hair did go like this
But all he said was.. I hate surprises, glad it wasn't sprung on me!
Lol! I am thinking about doing it on the cheap. A little white chapel somewhere..
No point in doing the massive £5000 bellagio job when we have been together a quarter of a century already and we are both at our half century mark...
I just want him to know that no matter what, he will be my lover for life:A
Blimey, getting emotional. Which isn't usually me.
Thankyou so much for offering tips on wedding planning.. Yes! I need all the help I can get. Obviously x

My husband isn't a really a wedding person, but he actually got really into the organising of it! We got married at Gretna Green, but if it wasn't for the fact that we wanted our parents there, we would have done it in Las Vegas! Knowing us, we probably would have opted for a drive thru Elvis wedding! :rotfl: But as duchy says, there are SO many different places to choose from. Now that he knows your plans, you can enjoy planning for it together. :)

    Here's a good place to start....http://www.vegas.com/weddings/

We have stayed at the Yosemite lodge right at the base of the falls.

I can truly say it is one of the best/most scenic places we have ever stayed, (the Lodge that is)

We booked direct on the day our nights were released (I think that was a year and a day in advance).

If thinking of staying in the park you do have to book early

Thanks for the tip! Would you mind me asking who you booked curry village with?

We booked direct, we had one of the wooden huts rather than the tents! It was so quiet and relaxing there, really enjoyed it.

Starting to think about things we want to do for our October trip - a very good friend of mine may be joining us for a few days and so thinking too of things he might like to do (he hasn't been in 10 years)...and thought maybe Mystery Adventures...but it looks like it's closed.

And looking around a bit it looks like they closed last summer...I'm bummed, I would absolutely have gone one last time if I had known. :(

Aw that's sad ferf as they put so much work into it. I'm glad we did it although I wouldn't have rushed back as it wasn't really my thing.

would it not work out cheaper if i book petite king and ask for a upgrade when i get there?

I think the question you should be asking yourself is whether you will be happy if there are no upgrades available and you end up with the crappy Petite King you booked?

The MGM Grand is not known for giving away free upgrades and they are not allowed to take the $20 bribe.

You may be offered an upgrade at a cost, but as has been said, that depends on capacity at the time.

We have stayed at the MGM umpteen times in Grand Tower rooms, Bungalow suites (now called an Executive suite) and a Celebrity Spa suites (now called a Spa suite). We have enjoyed them all.

I have passed a Petite King when the maid was cleaning it and the door was open and there in no way I would stay in one of those. You could practically touch the walls while lying in bed.

That's music to my ears - I'll be there in 24 days time. Booked it a bit speculatively, so it's wonderful to hear such a recommendation.

There's the CSI Experience in the MGM, I don't know if it would measure up to the one mentioned above, but it's maybe something else to consider.

is that the room type that someone (I am blanking on who at the moment and struggling to find it) posted a photo of and the window is teeny-tiny and behind the bed or something like that?

They have changed the room names since this video, but is it this type of room?

That does seem very small to me if so.
