Much better deal Georgie
Vegas is stinking hot at the end of August so hotel rates are low and that airfare drop at the end of August is handy.
Ah, so that's why, we did wonder why the prices dropped....the saying 'mad dogs and English men' springs to mind! :rotfl: having said that though, the week before (mid August shoots UP in price, almost doubles, but that could be because there is no Thomas Cook Airway flight that week?)
Am going down to Thomas Cook today armed with IPad to see if they can better it still.0 -

Apart from the heat ( 110 plus) which makes the Vegas hotels cheaper, that date is to late for families to go as the schools go back the week after, thats why airfare comes down, it normally does around that date every year, we have been a few times around that date (25th is my birthday) and each time we vow not to go again that time because of the heat!!!0 -

Let us know how you get on - I'm considering booking this week myself, and would be interested to know if the shop can do any deals in comparison to the online price!
I'm looking at booking for 2014 - its between NY NY and MGM Grand for me!0 -
Hey all,
I'm wondering.........
I've got 16k airmiles with Virgin flying club, which strangely is made up like this:
June 2011 Virgin Flight direct to Vegas - 4779 points
May 2013 US Airways (alliance thingy) - 11826 points!
I booked the Delta flights for May next year onboard the Virgin flight... Am guessing I wont get the points on my virgin airmiles until after I have flown ???
Anyway, gonna look to boost my points through Tesco's, etc etc.....
Would anyone happen to know how the points work in terms of using them ?
IE: it costs 12500 points to upgrade from Cattle to premium cattle each.... if I had 25k points, although am on a Virgin plane, but booked via Delta, do you reckon they might honour the upgrade ? (i'll be calling Virgin in February to ask/pray they might!)0 -
Stuie you may find your fare class with delta is not upgradeable.
If you are interested in boosting your Virgin miles then think about getting a credit card with points, either the Virgin one or an Amex whose membership reward points are transferable to Virgin.0 -
cheers, don't do credit cards (cant even!)
I'll try my luck closer to the time and will post a response either way....
I guess if it don't work, i'll just keep saving for a future VA flight0 -

Remember to check that the resort fee is included in this price as its $20 per night extra which would be an extra $140 for the week.
Maybe worth looking at netflights.com as I booked with them recently and they price matched against the likes of lowcostusa.co.uk etc, they are part of the Thomas Cook group.0 -

I just booked up for 2014 the other week and got a good deal through netflights.com, might be worth checking there as they did some price matches for me as well although I'm not just going to Vegas I'm doing LA and Mexico too but they did a price match on Vdara for me and I got a great deal0 -

They could better the flight, but not the room cost, infact she was totally honest, and told me to book it with the other place, as there was no way they could match that, they came in at about £200 more!0
