Sorry I disagree
The OP isn't on a connecting ticket -she's on two seperate tickets.
If she flew (say) Delta to New York and had a seperate ticket New York to Vegas with United and missed it - United would charge her for a new ticket (or $150 change fee) according to their regs....so exactly the same as over here.
As it's Easyjet who take no prisoners with bending the rules I think the OP should book the later flight.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

If you recall, that's how I did my flight! KLM to Amsterdam, then new ticket with US Airways to Vegas, giving me a 2hr window from touchdown to check-in again!
Would have cost god knows how much to rebook! (thankfully it only took 20 mins from wheels down to get to the check-in desk!)
No more crazy flights for me after doing that!!!!
Oh, and I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad I booked that Delta flight the other week (the Delta flight using Virgin), as those flights have gone now, and its back to normal indirect flights with Delta, Wooooooooohoooooooooooooooooo !!!!!(for end of May that is..)

Thank God for that :rotfl::rotfl:
What with your insane transfer time and another poster missing the boat to Dublin I think this thread has used up tight connection luck at the momentI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Has anyone redeemed any of the monorail rewards on myVegas?
2 of us are going to Vegas in September and I want to redeem the award to get 3 day passes for the monorail (14,000 Loyalty Points for the award)
The info on myVegas saysUnlimited Three-Day Pass (Buy one, get one free). Good for unlimited travel for one person for a consecutive 72-hour period during operational hours.
Can anyone tell me if this gives two FREE passes or just the ability for one person to buy (in cash) a pass and the other one comes free?0 -
I've managed to get what I think is a good deal for to go to Vegas at the beginning of September for 7 nights. Direct flights, and strip view rooms at the Planet Hollywood for £1927.98 for 2 people....I'd be interested to hear other people's opinions, does that seem like a good deal to you? I haven't been on that many other sites yet, but will be obviously shopping around.
Also, just curious, but how much spending money roughly do you take for 2 people. When we've been in the past, we've usually took over $3000, but it's been that long since we last went, I can't remember if we spent it all or not! :rotfl:0 -
naff it!!!!!!!!!!!, as mentioned above i found my flights with delta for the last week in may 2014 for £635 odd last week..................now they have all gone
:wall::wall:
As always book flights if you see a price you like coz they can vanish that quickly if you dither.
Looks like back to waiting for virgin to hopefully drop back down to around that level.0 -

If you're happy with it and can't find it cheaper yourself with separate quotes then it's a good deal. There are too many other factors involved for anyone to answer for you - were you restricted by certain dates or airports is just one example.
There's not much anyone can say on your second question either. How much do you like to gamble each day? What eating preferences do you have? Will you be going clubbing every night? How many shows will you be intending to see? At those shows which price level of ticket will you go for? Does your budget include shopping? How much shopping do you intend to do?
All of those things are small contributory factors to how much you may or may not spend. My wife and I spend half that amount on a 7 night trip earlier this year but we didn't gamble much (maybe $40 per day), we tended to eat small and cheap breakfasts and then have a buffet later in the day. We only went to one show and got cheap (ish) tickets for that (Love on a travelzoo deal at $60 each).
The year before we spent probably that amount or more in a 6 night trip simply because for us it was a different type of trip - we were out drinking more, we ate more expensive meals, we went to a few more shows etc.
EDIT - beacuse I had some time on my hands I did a quick search of flights in Sept but due to not knowing your dates I randomly chose 9th - 16th. Best flights I could get (London airports) were £614 pp but these were not direct (direct was around £900). Following one of the links on page 1 I looked for a PH offer and found the 'ready to get wet' http://www.vegas-promotions.com/Planet%20Hollywood/mp/1.htm one offered $890 for the same 7 nights. So that's around £1820 all in (but random dates and indirect flights).0 -

Thanks, you raise some interesting points there!I never thought to mention our spending habits, what we like to do/visit while we are there....would have helped wouldn't it?! :rotfl:
We don't do much gambling at all, we used to when we first went, now it's just limited to every now and again on a slot machine! We like to shop, but we don't go overboard, even less so this year as there isn't really any shops that sell what the DH likes, which is Blu-Rays, Xbox games, they all seem to have closed? He really used to stock up on those.
We like to go to a couple of shows, usually only 1-2, depending on what's on at the time.
Yeah, I'm happy with the deal I've found, but it's been about 7 years since we were last there, so I didn't know if that was about average or not, and it's always good to get other peoples views as they might know of a better deal.
They are direct flights from Manchester, really good flight times too. It's with Thomas Cook. I don't know if that includes meals or not, so that's something I'll have to check on.
Thanks for the link to the promotion at PH, you've been very helpful!0
