not sure if there is a bus, I doubt it , as there is very little there. Or did you mean an organised trip to see Death valley as oppossed to just Furnace Creek
You can get there and back in a day driving its closer than the GC.
Not sure why it daunts you, I admit the busy 4 lane freeways can be "exciting" but once out of Vegas the roads are almost straight and you dont see much traffic. You can sit with cruise control on for hours, not like here where you are lucky if you can have cruise control on for more than 5 minutes0 -
Meant to post about this before, don't think anybody has mentioned it yet.
I know some of us like to move around, combining Fremont area with Strip etc, looks like they are going to charge us for the privilege.
Just had an e-mail from Golden Nugget with an offer that mentions in the small print that there is a Fremont area surcharge.
" All reservations will incur a daily $5 Downtown Destination Fee plus applicable taxes added to the room rate at check-in. Rates may not be lowered once confirmed. "
Like the GN but next time think I'll give El Cortez a try, GN is already looking expensive compared to some of the others, even without this new fee.0 -
