I've just tried to sign up for Social Rewards using FB and keep getting this message
Any idea why?
Sorry, not much help but getting over the threshold is the only real hurdle. I know ur doing Facebook, but if u do Twiiter to, there are some companies that seem (or used to) auto follow u back such as the following. Just put an "@" in front to find them
TIVegas
Blackmothvodka
Adnams
ForbiddenPlanet
Mcvitiesvipclub
T3dotcom
Boozeberries
Oxo_uk
Chic_shack
VirginWines
MGMLionsShare
They will also get u more Klout as they have lots of social connections0 -
Thanks for that. I have never been on Twitter and have no idea how it works. If I do decide to join I'll probably be back for more advice.0

I'm @pebblesmax if anyone wants to add me. I've had a few thousand points from TR with this system. It is good for offsetting the final bill.0

Hi all,
Really looking for some virgin/gatwick advice...
Flying to vegas in October and am then flying from Vegas to Cancun for 9 nights. My flight back to the UK is with Virgin to Gatwick, after that I then have to book a flight from Gatwick to Glasgow.
Last year I came back from Vegas and waited almost 5 hours to catch my flight to Glasgow which was terrible, and looks like I may have to do the same again this year. The Virgin flight from Cancun arrives in Gatwick at 11.05, there is an easyjet flight to Glasgow at 1.20pm, should I risk booking this is really the question? Is this enough time to get processed etc at Gatwick?
I also see there is a Gatwick Connect service, I wondered if anyone had any experience using this?0 -

Not sure anyone can tell you wether you should risk booking it? If the flight arrives on time or even an hour late you should have plenty of time, if the flight is late you may not, but guess you already know that.
Of course as the booking would be independant you would have to buy another flight if you missed it. If it was me I would just wait 5 hours, but thats just me0 -
I had a similar problem a couple of years back -it was nearly £200 cheaper to fly EWR MAN LHR than EWR LHR direct . Like the OP I had a five hour wait although there were earlier flights available. I checked with the BD frequent flyer forum and there was a consensus that I had zero chance of transferring to the earlier flight at no cost. I bought a £12 cheapie rail ticket from Manchester airport to my home station in Kent as the train would have got me home before the later flight had even taken off. On the day we landed on time....I went to the BD desk and asked nicely.........and they agreed to transfer my booking at no charge............so you never really know -but I would always ask at the airport on the day-but personally wouldn't risk having to pay out for a new ticket.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Thanks!
Suppose I wondered if anyone knw the min connection time international to domestic rather than should I book it or not, I've been googling and can't seem to find anything definitive, I'll probably give Easy Jet a call.0 -

I'm not sure that will help anyway - other than as a guide which won't necessarily apply to individual days/times - as you'll be on 2 different tickets...you may be able to cut the time a bit if you can use e-gates...but that won't make your bags appear earlier...Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Am trying the Gatwick BA flight in a couple of weeks time -always flown ex-Heathrow on BA, but quite like the idea of a lunchtime arrival, especially as i only have 5 nights over there.
Wondering now if I've made the right decision - didn't realise it was pretty much first day of school hols, flight is already totally sold out. Could be a little chaotic. Still, there will probably be upgrades available as it's likely economy is oversold.0 -
Thanks!

MCT is 1:15 Int to Dom.
One issue you will have is needing to collect your baggage and then re-check it in as I don't think you can through check with Easyjet. If you only had hand baggage I would say no problem with the earlier flight - but assuming you have check in bags, I would go for the later one.0
