Wouldn't work. BA would class you as a no show and cancel the whole ticket (even the return) if you didn't show for the first flight. £60 one way to AMS in the morning, you can leave your bags at the left luggage place at T5

ahhhh, fair enough!
Plan I am working on (alerts set), is for Air New Zealand flights to drop below £520 from LON to LAX in May......
I'll do that flight, 2 days in LA (1 on the beach, one at the Six flags theme park!), and then drive to Vegas......
Managed to pull off a stunt this year by getting 3 hotels over 10 nights with flights for £700...

So next years budget will be £850, to cover either 14 nights in Vegas, or 12 nights Vegas and 2 nights LA.....

Stuie - It doesn't pay to advertise you are dropping the segment at the end either. BA *will* care as they see it as deprivation of revenue. There have been a handful of cases where passengers have been backcharged for the higher fare for blatant fare manipulation.

It's one of those times to NOT advertise how clever you have been

Hello! Another long time lurker here having perused these threads for my previous two trips to Vegas

A couple of years ago, a party of 12 of us managed to get 5 nights in the MGM in June for a friends stag flying direct from Gatwick for around £750ish.

As I'm getting married next year as well, we wanted to repeat the trick. Naturally I was expecting the prices to have gone up but at the moment, we struggling to get much change out of a grand each.

We're pretty flexible in that we can go any time from Mid-May to late July. If we couldn't go direct, we'd suck that up and would be happy enough anywhere on The Strip south of the Encore. I'd told people to budget around £800-£850 or so. Am I being unrealistic or are the current prices more like guesses because flights for June 2014 onwards aren't out yet?

I'm seeing better deals on Expedia and sites like LowCostUSA but I'm told as they are based on supply and demand, once a couple of rooms are booked the price will rocket so if we pair up and do it that way, some might be left high and dry.

Has anyone got any advice to share? Cheers!

I asked a few weeks ago if anyone knew the pattern for r.com discount codes......no-one replied so here it is as far as I can tell.

day of the month.......cost

4th...............$6 for $25
7th...............$5 for $25
11th.............$4 for $25
18th.............$5 for $25
25th.............$6 for $25
28th.............$4 for $25

The same percentage discount applies for smaller of larger vouchers. Each code is valid for between 1 and 4 days.

Don't know if it varies each month, but will keep an eye on it.

PS I just bought a $75 voucher for $12....min spend $112.50, plus tip.
