off to LV in April for 40th bday, OH wants to stay at Bellagio (has his heart set on it) have seen 7 nights 10-17 with delta flights operated by Virgin for 1150 each, is this a deal worth snapping up? Doesn't include Bellagio resort fees as its via expedia so have to add them and transfers on

have only just started searching for prices etc so not sure if this is good or not? As his birthday 15 april want to go for a week around/over then

    is it best to wait?

If it was me I would be comparing VA flight only plus booking room separately directly with Bellagio via a discount code.
If its any help I looked at doing this and flights varied from £550 to £750, the discounted room rate for a normal fountain view room was between $199 and $339 plus taxes, plus $28 plus taxes per night. We obtained the discount code from Bellagio e-mail registration.
Having looked at air fares and room rates daily for months the best flight price was available mid-January, the best room rate by booking November. So for a stay in March it meant booking the hotel first before knowing I could book the flights.
I wouldn't do that, but it would have saved us a lot compared to booking the package offers from the usual places.
I don't think there is a simple answer, if you want to go to Bellagio at that time, and know you have it all booked a package might be OK.
If you reasoned the flights to be say £650 each , to pay £500 each for Bellagio doesn't sound too bad, but you need to know what kind of room etc, before paying £1150 for the package.

Maybe its just me, but I have never bagged super exciting bargain offers at Bellagio, and have ended up elsewhere anyway usually.

I arrived back on Friday but am suffering with the jet lag very bad. I have done a trip report on my ipad app 'travelpod' and will somehow get it on here in the next few days.

Thinking of combing our next trip with a visit to Hawaii, but want to pay off this trip before we decide anything for sure!

That's a trip I've wanted to do, I don't have B.O.! but I can't find someone to go with me?

Doing the trip from Vegas perhaps 3 or 4 days in Vegas, fly to the island for a week and then back to Vegas for a week before coming home appeals.

Are you kidding, do you know how expensive Hawaii is?!
Even the locals are moving to the mainland because they cant afford to live on the islands.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

    Hi Everybody,

I really hope somebody can help me. My mum wants to go to LV but hates the heat so we have decided to go between Christmas and New Year.

Now she is ok walking but would not want to walk for miles and miles. I am going to book with British Airways I think from Manchester to LV.

Could anybody recommend a nice hotel which is really close to everything which would mean my mum would have to walk as least as possible.

I have looked but the more I look the more I cannot make a decision.

    Thanks in advance

AprilShower - you may be better looking at renting one of those little 4-wheeled scooter things that go on pavements and old people (generally) drive... I can't think of anywhere that would be good for people that can't walk well... tho if the reason she is going is just to sit at a machine and gamble, then the majority of hotels have a casino, but maybe centre-strip would be better so there is a bit of variety nearby. Look at hotels around the Planet Hollywood to Mirage part of the Boulevard.

I'd definitely have a look at the scooter rental option tho... i'm sure someone on one of the previous years threads has looked at this :)
