that's awful if a 3rd party is selling one room and customers are getting a much lower room instead...looking at travelocity the Deluxe Executive Suite is certainly priced a lot higher than a standard king room...I wouldn't be happy either. At least you have time to get it sorted out or (worst case) cancel and book another way...and didn't find out upon arrival like the review penny posted.

I know, pretty gutted tbh. Problem is all the hotels have shot up in price as theres a big fight when im going, so probably gonna be stuck with it.

Total cost of holiday was £1780, pretty sure the flights were priced at £1440 for 2 so that means £340 for 6 nights.

Just got off phone to travelocity, nothing concrete can be done until monday as hotels inhouse dept is closed. Advisor said it looks like a technical error on the hotels part, but i dont buy it. Was giving the option to get a full refund off £335 but as i explained earlier, its not going to be of any benefit to do so.

    Bad times

That does mean it was a mistake somewhere along the line as an executive suite should be treble that for 6 nights

was there no room description on your confirmation.

If no room description you may have a fight on your hands, as you have found out.

Unlikely Harrahs would honour that room for that price but you never know, where do you have the info that you booked an executive suite

IMHO if you turn up with a confirmation that says "exec room" and the hotel will only give you a "std room", you claim the difference in cost from whoever you booked through when you get back.

Make sure you get something in writing from the hotel that they will only give you a standard room, as that's all the booking company have paid them for.

I think I understand what you mean.

If magee gets a standard room and should be in an executive and the difference is £600, then claim it back.

But if only £335 is paid in the first place, how would that work

On the hotel confirmation email it states the room type, advisor even said he can see the issue as he said it should be the suite. If it sounds too good to be true.....

Problem being how little ive paid for the room, similiar to that trip advisor report, does not look promising.
