Not sure if a Las Vegas thread will be about you guys hitting the casinos, but I can swear to the fact that this film was made by somebody I know and he really took these videos of him at the casino. http://fbeez.hubpages.com/video/A-Precise-System-on-How-to-Win-Progressive-Jackpots-in-Las-Vegas

He says "The video above is footage from my trip and my 2 recorded wins from that stay. And me receiving a hand payout." - and it really is.

Having looked at it (its just a blog), I dont think it is - but on reading it, I can't see how there is any truth in it... slot machines in Vegas are legally required to be driven by RNG. There's no such thing as a machine having a hot streak, a cold streak, or being ready to pay out :)

Casino's would be shut down if there was any truth in this myth :) the guy is just very lucky :)

Me and my boyfriend are going in 4.5 weeks for one week. Staying at the Paris Hotel, probs standard room. Hoping to get upgraded for free, anyone know how easy this is or how to get a good deal? I am not good at asking for things :o

Haven't read much of the thread as it's so long but I intend to try to follow from now on and get some help on anything I can, esp must see and do things. Boyfriend has been before but spent most of his time (3 days) in the casinos so he doesn't really know what is out there. He did do Grand Canyon and so we are not going back as I am not that fussed, we know about Freemont Street, NYNY rollercoaster, Bellagio fountains and are hoping to see at least one show - possibly Rat Pack.

What is the deal with these discount vouchers online? Do I need to sign up to some websites and print out before I go? Is it best to order show tickets before we go are when we are there?

And is £1200 (each) a reasonable amount to take? We will have a flutter but are not massive gamblers and will just play the low dollar tables mainly. Our money will mainly go on food, drink (which I hear can be free in casinos), shows, shopping and obvs any attractions.

My heart was set on a fountain view room at the Bellagio, but so many people steered me away from it (including the travel agent), saying the rooms are dated and the hotel has had its day,

Whoever told you that doesn't know their stuff and is spouting out of date info.

All the Bellagio room were upgraded last year and are looking really nice. I agree that a non-fountain view room would probably be a waste of money.

That said, the premium view rooms at the Cosmopolitan with a terrace can't be beaten.

Have a good read of the posts on Page 1 of this thread for all the info you could need.

Worst thing is that we don't get any additional offers but we don't gamble in any one single place exclusively enough in any event to get us brilliant offers so no future offers wouldn't be the end of the world.

are you Total Rewards members? If so, check prices for your dates...we never have offers but do regularly receive comped nights and reduced rates by logging in and going to reservations.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Never been there, but aren't the rooms there "small" by Vegas standards?

I remembered that their standard room was small until I saw one after the upgrade last year. It wasn't any smaller than Pars or PH rooms. I think the newer flat screen TVs make the rooms seem larger than they did with the old CRT TVs.
