didnt the link say it was for IOD members? the website page that contained the link did

also someone posted on the Virgin facebook page that they were not happy that people were being upgraded with the link,
I was only originally sent the link itself - not the wexas website which pointed to it :) the link itself makes no ties with IOD though Wexas does (and is the page I subsequently managed to find when saffstar asked about the offer)

I've never really looked at V-Flyer, but just read the thread in question :);) ah well - case closed I guess and i'll go back to looking at VA as an option based on price alone. No harm done :)

The link just took you straight to a sign up page, no mention of any T&Cs at all
PL is referring to the originating source of the link, which as far as I could tell when it comes to internet viral stuff, seemed to originate from here: http://www.wexas.com/flight/offer/virgin-atlantic-flying-club-offer-1978.html

Thinking of going to Envy Steakhouse. Just wondered who had been and what they thought of it. I know you can get a restaurant.com voucher for it.

us to, anyone know best way there from mgm
I'm thinking either taxi ( but try to keep cost down) or monorail to convention centre is it far or safe to walk from there?

    Anyone got any other ideas?

some Brazilian place we've never tried called Pampas Churrascaria which I think is just next to Cabo Wabo.

    SO excited.

Pampas is nowhere near Cabo Wabo. It's just inside the entrance to the Miracle Mile on Harmon, next to Todai, or round the corner from Ocean One if coming from the mall.

I haven't heard anything good about Pampas to make me want to go there for dinner and traded in the r.com cert I had. For a Brazillian restuarant I would recommend Texas de Brasil at Town Square.

BTW Pampas is no longer open for breakfast.

It's a 2 minute walk from the Convention Center monorail stop. Felt very safe to me, but then I'm not as nervous in Vegas as some on here.

agree...we wouldn't have stuck our membership number in if it had made any reference to anything of that nature - being meant only for members of any organzation, etc...there was no reference to anything other than to enter your flying club number, then a few bits of personal info to confirm you were you...that was it. At the time we honestly thought it was some offer out there for the general public...I would be extremely upset if we were penalised in any way for it...maybe it was naive to assume it was open to anyone, but certainly wasn't something we thought we were being sneaky and hoping not to get caught when we clicked the link. :(

On Envy - we think it feels completely safe to walk from the convention centre stop, no issues at all...you can see Envy from the bottom of the stairs, or at least the hotel.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

When I clicked on the link, I honestly just thought it was a Virgin Atlantic offer. It was only when I tried to find it on their website and couldn't that I started wondering where it had come from! Not complaining about it, I'm really grateful to everyone who shares info on this thread, just wanted to make the point that I wasn't trying to be sneaky either, I don't imagine any of us were!

  • Has anyone been to Bobby Flay in Caesar's Palace.

Like the look of it from the books but any real-world reviews would be nice.

My first attempt to upload a pic to flickr and then share it here so we'll see if this works!

it's relevant in that a few pages back there was a discussion on the opinions of and views from the Cosmo.

This is the view from our one bed terrace balcony from April 2012. We'd booked 3 nights (Mon-Thurs) in a city room but were upgraded thanks to $20 and the question - any chance we could get a fountain view?

EDIT - well it doesn't appear that I've cracked it.
