Try varying the last numbers on the URL. I tried it to see if it would then upgrade me from Silver to Gold :D:D:D

Maybe it is but you have to be willing to pay the necessary fare to be eligible for the upgrade so depends on what the goal is - to fly as cheaply as possible or to get a good deal on an upgrade...some would prefer to have a cheap economy flight instead...it's probably a matter of personal preference and depends on how often you fly/how many miles you might rack up, etc.

Thanks Ferf....I think for us, getting there cheaply is more important. We've only ever flown in economy so we don't know what we're missing! If we can actually get there for less than £300 each it means we're pretty much a dead cert to go again next year. We had sort of assumed that we'd pay for flights and use our miles to upgrade but now we've actually got enough for a flight, can't help but feel a bit different!

Just going to hang on til last minute of the sale for some May dates to come out as we'd rather go then, once it starts getting really hot!

I love the thought that we might have another trip booked before we've even been on this year's :rotfl:

Please may I have some advice regarding MyVegas.

I discovered this before DS and friends went to LV at the end of April. Between them, they managed to get enough for a couple of rewards, free cocktails and a champagne brunch. Me and OH intend to be in LV in May 2014. When should I start playing MyVegas in an effort to gain anything.

Any useful tips would also be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Start now would be my advice. It takes quite a while to build up your strip. If you don't have many friends, collecting from casinos is you main source of chips besides visiting the fan page daily.

Agreed. If you're thinking of booking shows or hotel rooms, they can be booked more than 90 days before your trip so if you've got the points early, you can secure your reward. Everything else has to be booked within 90 days. Rewards only ever seem to go up in price so the more loyalty points you have, the better (MyVegas price inflation is ridiculous!). Also, most of the two person rewards have gone now so it would be a good idea if your OH started playing too, otherwise you'll only really get a lot of things for half price.

Another tip that may save you a lot of frustration/anger is to not get your heart too strongly set on anything. Book your rewards as early as you are able because a lot of people have been caught out by them removing rewards and reducing redemption limits

The sooner you start the better regarding building up your LPs (loyalty points that you exchange for rewards)... however with all rewards there is a 90 day expiration date by which time you have to either use them, refund them or lose them.

There have been a number of rule changes recently, one regarding how many rewards you can use in any 30 day period (in the past if you bought the cheapest chip bundle you earned the right to an extra reward per 30 days and as you spent more the number of rewards increased to the point where people could have unlimited rewards - THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE so unless you intend to spend LOADS on chips then accept that, as it stands, you will be entitled to 3 REWARDS PER 30 DAYS (unless the rules change again of course!)

Another thing to bear in mind is that with the increase in players over the last few months the 'cost' of rewards has increased ie it costs loads more LPs than it used to to purchase them. So with this in mind the sooner you start accumulating them the more realistic a chance you have of affording something decent next year... even though you will not be able to purchase the rewards until 90 days before (or less than 90 days if you want a bit of spare grace period to refund them on your return if they don't get used for any reason!).

I would also suggest that you don't set your heart on a particular reward too soon as it may not be available when you get into your 90 day redemption window... and once you get into the 90 day window grab what you want straight away as loads of people have held back in the past and then lost out as a reward has been increased in price or discontinued.

My partner and I started playing at the end of January and last night I reached the point where it is not worth accumulating any more points for our trip in August as we have reached our limit of rewards and they are all (but one which is hard to snag as it sells out quickly!) snagged and bagged ready for our honeymoon! I can now focus my attention of the upcoming wedding rather that a mind numbingly boring game (was fun to start with but playing everyday for hours on end takes it toll after a while!). Just got to keep logging in at 3pm UK time to try to grab that reward and I'm out!

With the lead time you've got just logging in a couple of times a day, spinning the daily bonus wheel, collecting from you 'strip' and playing for a few minutes you'll have a fair few LPs by next year I'd guess!

    Good luck!

Just back in after a week off, saw the offer and thought I'd give it a try even though it 'closed' 3 days ago, it worked, accepted and got the email saying, look forward to earning serious points.

Thinking of going to Envy Steakhouse. Just wondered who had been and what they thought of it. I know you can get a restaurant.com voucher for it.
