    Hi
Wondered if anyone could offer advice. Me and OH would like to go to LV but then go on to Mexico or Caribbean after for a week or so. I had posted this Q separately on hols board but thought it might be more appropriate on here.
If anyone has done a 'twin centre', who did you book with etc? Any advice? Looking at pricing up separately but the flights prices are huge alone! We are looking to go in December this year.
    Thanks

OH and I did 10 nights Vegas, 7 nights Cabo San Lucas (Mexico) and then 4 nights Vegas on the return two years ago.

Easy enough - booked via Orbitz (US site) and caught a flight from LV to Cabo via Phoenix. Basically, just like booking a mini holiday within a holiday. Worked out much cheaper booking it all independently too (especially the Mexico bit as it seems much cheaper to go from US than UK for obvious reasons).

If anyone's after direct flights from Manchester around next Easter & May bank holiday, Thomas Cook now have flights available into May 2014.

Managed to get return tickets today for £555 each all in, including 20kg luggage each, in-flight meal (prob not too good) and pre-booked seats both ways. Thought this was quite a reasonable price considering the bank holidays. Don't forget Quidco pays £8 which is better than nothing !

    Hope this helps someone out.
  • Maybe a few good deals with TC at the moment? A lady on Trip Advisor booked 14 nights at Vdara next July (inc flights) for £1080 the other day

and to complement that, here's a link to upgrade your Flying Club status from Red... to silver (for free of course :D )

    http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/frequentflyer/microsite/default/regonline/step1.jsp?campaign_code=IOD12

Just put in your membership number, then enter two parts of validation (I did my date of birth, and first two letters of postal code) :)

Worked immediately and valid for 1 year

Details on silver benefits here: http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/frequentflyer/membershipbenefits/silverbenefits/index.jsp

Main benefits I can see (for me) would be:
Book Flights: You’ll earn 50%* extra base flown miles on every flight you take with us, so you’ll reach exciting rewards even faster.

Premium Check In: You'll have full use of our Premium Economy Check In area, whatever class you're traveling in. If you are flying from London Heathrow you will also be able to benefit from Premium Economy check in kiosks. Less queuing and more relaxation, exactly how journeys should be.

hey - that's awesome, thanks! I just said to hubby this is cool, but we'll have enough tier points or whatever for silver in a few weeks (not going to Vegas) so won't really help us...took my smarter-half to say 'but we'd get the mileage bonus for the whole trip if we upgrade now'. Doh! So done now! Thanks very much.

edited to add...and if I am not mistaken, as it's set my year from today - so tier points we earn in a few weeks will go toward a potential silver renewal now...

Brilliant-worked for me on my very old account (in recent years I credited VS flights to CO) and on the OH's brand new one created just now. We're flying in August so very useful :)

    Thank you very much.
