You have been registered for the offer.
    Virgin Atlantic Flying club
Membership number (Different from the one I entered)

Have I been successful? I'm a bit brain dead today.

I'm a great believer that any status is a big plus -any edge helps when things go wrong....and it's also handy if you need to status match to another carrier.

Virgin are a bit weird and give you a new card number when you change status, but my understanding is the old one stays linked to your account so that's all fine.

Just login to your Flying Club account with your username / password, and it will highlight you're silver in there:

It just worked for DH and I, Gracie - maybe give it another try?

Thanks so much for posting NVH! Did they advertise the offer? It doesn't seem to appear anywhere on their website.

Re the Reward Seat sale, sorry if I sound dim but what's the 'sale' element of it - itsn't it always 35,000 miles for Vegas flights? Thanks

Yes if you log back into your account now with your username and pw -it'll be a pretty silver colour :)

i had thought so as I was sent the link by a friend, but have (eventually) discovered that it appears to be something that was sent to Institute of Directors (IIRC) members :) I'm doubting this would cause any problems - on searching around, I've found it's been posted on other sites prior to me getting it, but the worst they could do is revoke it as there's no t&cs that I could see attributed to the offer / link... Tho deep down I'm inclined to think they won't care anyways - after 8 years of using other airlines, I'm certainly more likely to fly with them again now! :);)

Hopefully this late information won't have worried anyone, I certainly feel comfortable using the link! :)

I thought it was normally 50k and availability was limited...my limited experience with the reward seat sales seemed to indicate that when a reward sale was on there were more reward seats available...a lot of the time it seems impossible to book flight to Vegas with miles. My experience may be meaningless but that's how it seems to me.

grr...the $25 certificates are in stock if you buy them outright but not if you exchange/use credit for them...the $10 ones yes, $25 no...
