Hi folks, Im currently looking into getting booked up for Las Vegas for April 2013. I have had a look online and also went to the travel agents to compare. For 2 adults Ive been quoted £2350 for 5 nights in Mirage, then 5 nights in Planet Hollywood. Flying from Edinburgh-Gatwick-Vegas on the 12th April, 10 nights. This to me sounds pretty good, considering its from Thomas Cook Signature!?
I also looked at just 10 nights in same hotel, to which Mirage, Planet Hollywood and MGM all came in around the £2300 mark, with Bellagio around £2600.
Any thoughts on these pricings, and recommendations?

    Cheers Dov

Johnny Rockets deal! Only valid till end of July. We like the place (we go in FSM). Some may think its tacky and the dance routines make me cringe a bit but love the burgers and shakes! :)

Have you priced up independentley, I assume that price is for both of you?

Allowing £600 each for the flights that would leave £1150 for ten nights which is plenty for 10 nights accom

A lot depends on how much work you want to do researching prices

This time next week I'll have touched down for 2 weeks of madness with the boys...seriously cannot wait now! :D:D

Thanks for the T-Mobile info nvh will be ideal for us to pick up those sims.

And of course since they come with Data of sorts then Whatsapp is a fantastic way to text people back home without getting charged for international texts, even if you don't get these SIMs wifi is everywhere :money:

    Hi
Wondered if anyone could offer advice. Me and OH would like to go to LV but then go on to Mexico or Caribbean after for a week or so. I had posted this Q separately on hols board but thought it might be more appropriate on here.
If anyone has done a 'twin centre', who did you book with etc? Any advice? Looking at pricing up separately but the flights prices are huge alone! We are looking to go in December this year.
    Thanks

I'm doing Las Vegas followed by Aruba in August and have booked through Thomas Cook although it has been booked to specifications I found and price matched by them rather than being an off the peg holiday as such.
A lot will depend on where you want to fly from and your dates obviously... as Thanksgiving travel and Christmas travel may affect you... you also say that the flight prices you've found are huge but that's all relative really! We have 1 connection on each of our flights to make it do-able. Lots of playing about with Kayak was the key to our trip! :T

    i used the $2/day tariff
this is something I'm a little unclear on at the moment... if you can pick and choose your tarrif each day (as it seems to indicate elsewhere), how is that done? does it force you through a web portal each day (a bit like when you go through 'free pub wifi', to make you pick what tarrif you want (and also give you the option to even use data that day?)

As far as I remember, once you choose a plan, you have that plan until you change your mind or run out of credit.
