Just be aware that is all it is, a note put on their system. to be fair most Vegas hotels are great at recognizing those notes and acting upon them but they don't always....of course greasing their palms often helps
Absolutely, I realise it's by no means a guarantee, especially so far in advance, but I was happy with the response. Especially as most of the negative reviews for this hotel are for the unhelpful staff! :eek:Egg Loan - [strike]£4921.84[/strike] £0!! :j Barclaycard - £3866.47 Legal + Trade - [strike]£2700.96[/strike] £0!! :j Triton - [strike]£1730.89[/strike] £0!! :j Next - [STRIKE]£776.15[/STRIKE] £126.88 Littlewoods - [strike]£217.16[/strike] £0!! :j Housemate - [strike]£1300[/strike] £0!! :j Capital One - [STRIKE]£1652.51[/STRIKE] £1,081.58 Vanquis - [strike]£2337.75[/strike] £375.58

I haven't stayed at Bellagio for several years but even with a fountain view at Bellagio I would pick a Cosmo terrace suite over Bellagio any day (and not just for the laundry facilities)...I would pick Encore over Bellagio as well...probably Wynn too...it is all a matter of personal preference and the fountain view room we had at Bellagio was very nice but other than the view I didn't feel it was worth the money - we only stayed one night at Bellagio and I think we would have been disappointed if we had paid a lot to stay several nights. Thanks to the good folks here who all talked about Cosmo - we might never have given it a thought otherwise - we looooved it...and they seem to be pretty good with offers as we've already been back once on a comped 2-night stay - hoping we both get offered 2 nights we can bolt together for 4 nights in October.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Can someone help or had a similiar issue with either company....
Basically booked a deluxe executive suite in Harrahs a few months ago for our september holiday. However having just come off the phone to Harrahs they have said i have only been booked into a normal basic king room??? nothing stated on my booking for a suite. I clearly have numerous emails with deluxe executive suite on it!!! Really wanted a hot tub in our room and the kind man from Harrahs did say he will put a note on it but at the end of the day it comes down to front end when i arrive. Have emailed both lastminute and travelocity,
What should i do, where do i stand?
Thanks again.
P.S loving all the trip reports, keep them coming0 -
have you talked to lastminute/travelocity to see what they say?
I thought that in a lot of cases through 3rd parties the hotel didn't necessarily get full guest information until much closer to the date of arrival...I know it used to be that way years ago having had a heart attack after calling a hotel to find they had no booking for me and then called expedia and they told me to calm down, the hotel wouldn't have my details until a week before.
Could it be that only part of the info has been passed to the hotel so far and the rest will follow closer?
I am probably just making stuff up.
but I would get in touch with the 3rd party and ask them what goes on.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

We made our trip to Vegas for my birthday having booked a deluxe executive suite via lastminute.com. After travelling for 24 hours we arrived at the hotel to be told that we had been allocated only a deluxe standard room. We had proof of our reservation with us but the manager said there was nothing he could do and that it was lastminutes fault as they had made the error when forwarding on the booking0 -

That's great to know, thanks!
I would have never thought about the Cosmo either. In the Virgin brochure they really have not made the best of it, even though it's one of their "Recommended" hotels on the website. The boring photos in the brochure meant I just flicked straight past it. The only others I was considering after the Bellagio were the Wynn, Ceasar's, and possibly The Venetian, but the travel agent said the Cosmo gave me the best of both worlds - gorgeous room plus the fountain view I was set on.Egg Loan - [strike]£4921.84[/strike] £0!! :j Barclaycard - £3866.47 Legal + Trade - [strike]£2700.96[/strike] £0!! :j Triton - [strike]£1730.89[/strike] £0!! :j Next - [STRIKE]£776.15[/STRIKE] £126.88 Littlewoods - [strike]£217.16[/strike] £0!! :j Housemate - [strike]£1300[/strike] £0!! :j Capital One - [STRIKE]£1652.51[/STRIKE] £1,081.58 Vanquis - [strike]£2337.75[/strike] £375.58

I know it doesnt help but I have been many times, but one of the few times I booked through a 3rd party, I had to fight at check in to get the room I had paid for (at Cosmo. )Lesson there is to book direct I guess.
Have you checked the price you paid travelocity and the price of the equivalant room at harrahs, maybe going through friends and family rate. If the price you paid is similar then you should be ok, if it is much less then maybe travelocity made a mistake
On a random date in Oct a standard room is $46 plus tax and resort fee = about £48
the suite is $165 plus tax etc so about £1350 -
I see there is an excessive heat warning for this weekend

that's awful if a 3rd party is selling one room and customers are getting a much lower room instead...looking at travelocity the Deluxe Executive Suite is certainly priced a lot higher than a standard king room...I wouldn't be happy either. At least you have time to get it sorted out or (worst case) cancel and book another way...and didn't find out upon arrival like the review penny posted.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
