Here in deepest darkest cornwall you are a newcomer until your at least 3rd generation.

    Somewhat an exageration,but not much.

full-time-mum, it's really sad that some of us are made to feel that way. My little one is only starting school in September but there is a lady that takes her daughter to the same pre-school that I do...she lives a few doors away and incidently has never greeted me or even smiled. A lot of the mothers already have kids in the primary school and I wonder if this is why? I just have the one and know absolutely nothing about the UK schooling system (come from South Africa)....but I would hope to have formed two or three friendships by the time school starts.

    Hiya,
I just want to say good luck to your family and daughter im sure she will look beautiful:A
I made my communion, it was a lovely day!, I only had a small party at my parents house but it was lovely. I still remember the day now im 26.
My son will be making his next year and he will only be having party with family + friends.
To be honest I think lots of people go ott on these things and it seems that these other mums/families have.
I do feel for you + wife, to be honest i think you get this kind of thing at every school.
I live in nice house (4 bed detached) and some of the mums at my sons school only say hello because of where i live what i have but i can see through them!:rotfl:
I know its difficult but concentrate on making your daughters day great my fondest memory of my day is that my grandad was there as later that same year he died.

As someone else said have a word with your priest ours is great and im sure he will be concerned that stuff like this is going on.

Gooie more!! :D (That means good morning!) I was in the same situation! I found that generally speaking, the British are a lot more reserved in chatting to 'new' people, especially at school. I say this with all due respect and please, my mom was born here and I am British too! ;) Give it time. I am now invited out and my child regularly has friends coming over to play, but this did take time.

If you need a chat, shout!! Dis nie so erg nie! ;)

And also good on Mrs Daddyto3 for standing her ground - it's cleared the air and you can all move on in the certain knowledge that you'll be having far more fun than the Cliquey Party lot :D:D :j

You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Oi you lot - please :heart:GIVE BLOOD  - you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.

Sit back and enjoy the back stabbing and !!!!!iness that follows these events and smile to yourselves that you had a narrow escape.

Nothing more fun in the playground then a clique that has fallen out with each other !!!

    Enjoy your DD's special day.

    T xx
