£10 for the sky+ function, I don't want any of the sky channels.

I added Sky Sports for the cricket (I know, it wasn't very exciting). I've cancelled it now and kept the basic package for £15.00. I'll add Sky Sports again when the football starts. You can change your package once a month.

Have cancelled my sports and am now on the 4 mix for £18 + £10 for sky+ which is free from 1st July

Am thinking about phoning Sky up as I'm currently on full package which I hardly use. Only thing I am worried about is that I took out Sky Broadband with them last December and I'm pretty sure they made me sign a new 12 month contract. I therefore cannot threaten to cancel can I?

You're not talking about cancelling though are you - only amending your channels package. You can change them once a month I believe IIRC.

With setanta sports package, I get all setanta channels plus racing UK and racing world.

Not as much value at this time of year (apart from some horse racing). But most of that is broadcast on channel 4 at weekends anyway...

I enjoy Setanta due to it broadcasting SPL games. The only reason I have kept it is because it only cost me £10 per month through promotion.

I phoned sky today to complain about their archaic billing (but thats another boring story !)
I have been offered a free Sky + Refurbished box and free fitting and no monthly Sky + fee.
