What is this deal with Setanta sports, Ive heard a few changes but not sure what the deal is.
I collect football matches and have several thousand games so need the best combo to be able to record the games, so have sky sports, mutv channel, chelsea channel and also prem plus season ticket so whats the best option for next season as I agree sky really rip people off although the prem plus season ticket isnt too bad but sky sports is way over priced so if anyone has any thoughts or ideas id appreciate it.
Going back to ops original question, I cancel sky sports every year at the end of the season and just go back just before its due to start again. Sky never say anything, dont get any reductions to make me stay but dont get any trouble either and been doing it for a few years now.
thanks in advance

This may help clear things up.
If you "collect" matches, have you thought of getting a streaming service that you could potentially watch ALL premiership / La liga / Serie A games on? I use an on line service to watch the 3.00pm games from the premiership. I would cancel Sky altogether however the quality isn't perfect as it's streaming.
In essence you get a game played in London, satellited to Japan / USA then streamed back to the UK. Daft i know...

Did you know you are allowed 3 months of half price for sky sports package a year. Basically a few months ago I rang to say I was going to cancel and we discussed a couple of options and the best they offered was the £37 package half price for 3 months and she slipped that your allowed that once a year.0

Sky gave me the full sports package for 1/2 price during the last 2 close seasons, that was without any haggling.
You do have to give them a months notice if your going to cancel.
I'm reducing to the freeview channels this summer, would rather spend the cash on some fine Ale in the sunshine.

Did you say you wanted a price reduction or you wanted to cancel?on a money saving mission!0

I had to tell them I wanted to cancel - couldn't afford it plus the summer TV was pants, at which point they offered it for 1/2 price.
You can reduce to Freeview with sky - if you tell them you want to do that or cancel they'll make you an offer to keep the sports. I'll be well surprised if they dont.0
