Ditching Sky Sports For The Summer?

I've been thinking about this for a while now, ever since Sky lost games to Setanta. I have had sky sports for years now and the premplus £50 season ticket for about the last 5.
Last summer I tried to cancel but still keep sky+ for £10 per month as it was the World Cup.
Was offered 2 months for 66p in total !!
Anybody know the split of games for next year and how much Setanta charge.
Think I'm gonna cancel for the summer anyway (keep sky+ though).0 -
I have seen it mentioned on other threads that skay are to waive the £10 sky+ fee from 01-07-2007. Don't know how true this is but worth asking when you ring up to change your package.Fortune's always hiding, I've looked everywhere......0

If I did cancel for a few months but wanted sports again when the prem starts would I then have to agree to new 12 month contract?0 -
I think you just want to downgrade Gambler, not actually cancel altogether.0

I have just phoned Sky and got my complete package down from £43.50 a month to £30 for the next three months :T
That's a good few Summer beer tokens!! :beer:0 -
Hey hey. Just my thoughts..
For those with Sky+ I believe there is a cost difference of £3 for downgrading
My maths is:
For those with sports and movies (joint) sky+ is free per month. Take them away and you're saving approx £13 a month but then you have to pay the £10 a month for Sky+!
If this is correct, then I won't bother downgrading.[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

Thats right, until July when nobody with any Sky package will be paying the £10 at all.0 -

If I downgrade it will be from £37 down to £10.0
